Direct drop in replacement for my 2000 Camaro Z28. The bearings that came with it looked decent enough, but I bought Timken bearings anyway. Working great so far, nice and quiet. ABS and traction control work still. Came with everything needed aside from fluids and sealant.

One year later and this shaft is JUNK. I find that the part of the shaft where the bearing ride was never hardened. Since the bearing surface is soft - the shaft was eaten up by the bearings in less than 1 year. And yes - I put new bearings & seals in when I installed the shaft.

My dad bought a pair of these for my birthday through his Amazon prime account. They showed in nearly a week. Very unacceptable of Amazon. Both packages looked good, but a couple rollers from a wheel bearing was missing. The box was sealed, so that tells me they were never put in there. That created a parts house run, and more spending. The shafts also come with new lug nuts and (2) pair of identical studs for some reason. Other than the shipping issue and bearing, they are working good.

Had to replace bearing so I ordered complete axle set up. I went and purchased locally the axle bearings. The ones that came in the box were a piece of junk. I used Timken Bearings. Doorman needs to use a quality bearing with this set up.

Without going through the local dealership (or getting over-charged by them), this Dorman piece did fit just fine. BUT, I wouldn't trust the seal or wheel bearings that came with it...all made in China.....like I said, axle ok, buy a timken bearing and seal...Also, came with an extra set of wheel studs (wheel lugs),,,,which I tossed...along with wheel lugs nuts, which I'll keep for spares...all in all.....works just fine and price was half the cost if I had gone through local AUTO PARTS stores.
