This ratchet features interchangeable 3/8” and ¼” anvils for versatility (included). The powerful Makita-built motor delivers 35 ft. lbs. of Max Torque. When the motor is not engaged, the ratchet can be used manually. Operator fatigue is reduced when the motor is engaged and due to the lightweight, ergonomic design. The low profile design provides improved handling in tight spaces and for overhead applications. For longer run time, 12V max CXT cordless tools are also compatible with the 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion 4. 0Ah battery (BL1041B, sold separately). 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion Batteries are engineered with a Battery Protection Circuit that protects against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. It’s part of the expanding 12V max CXT series, combining performance with superior ergonomics in a compact size.

I’m a big fan of Makita tools and own several that I use regularly for work. Unfortunately, this ratchet was a letdown. It lacks sufficient torque and struggled to loosen even hand-tight nuts and bolts. Ended up returning it.

This tool is quite powerful for it's size, and it's well designed to fit into tight spaces which makes it comfortable to work with.

It is definitely not for torquing or breaking out bolts. But it makes life much easier to drive bolts in. Definitely a must have tool in my travel tool bag!

I wish I had bought this from the start instead of my 2 others. Dont get caught up on the torque ratings but the speed of the ratchet. The slim body design makes it very comfortable. Manually break the nut then hit the switch.

Lets start with what I like about it.The price for what you are getting is very fair. If you choose either the kit with battery and charger or tool only you are getting a fair price. The kit version is probably a better deal.The ability to change to either 3/8 or 1/4. It is very convenient to have the option to change the anvil to either 3/8 or 1/4. To me though most will stick to one or the other. I do not see myself changing the anvil in the middle of the project. But I have the option.The speed. Words really can not describe really how fast this thing is. At a no load RPM of 800 this bad boy screams. I have not seen a cordless ratchet move this fast.The weight and balance. When holding this I am very happy with the overall weight of it as well as it feel very balanced in my hand.Now for some dislikes. I really do not have many dislikes as I have not had this very long.Its 12v. Well being 12v is not a negative in terms of power. To me it is a negative because it is not on their 18v line. So it is another battery and charger combo that you have to have.The direction change switch. It is not hard to use. It is just a bit different. It rotates with the head and will be in a random position when you want to change direction. You just have to look at the back each time you want to go from forward to reverse or vice versa.So to some it up yes I would recommend this. Seems really well built and it is crazy fast. Just go watch some vids to see really how fast this thing is.Hope this was helpful to those of you on the fence about choosing this over the competition. Have a great day.
