Please follow these directions step by step to achieve max versatility and accuracy
with this Kit.
1.Lnsert 4 Set screws into the top 4 holes of the Jaws front and back of each Caliper
clamp-on Jaw.
2.loosely mount the other Clamp-on Jaw to the caliper
3.Select the desired points for your measurement application. (Note: Each Point can be used for inside, outside, left, or right applications)
4.Aliach points to clamp-On Jaws.
5.Adjust the Caliper Clamp-On Jaws so that the points meet, and parallel, or are in line,(this may require a subtle adjustment of each of the 8 Set screws to achieve) FOR MEASUREMENTS WITH THE INSIDE POINTS: write down the reading on your Caliper With the points together, and establish this as your zero or datum point, reading form your measurement and write down the reading. Subtract your datum point. Reading from the
new measurement reading. And the difference is your exact measurement. FOR MEASUREMENTS WITH THE OUTSIDE POINTS: close Caliper jaws and write down the Zero or datum point, Since each Caliper can vary slightly. You must use another Caliper to measure the total outside measurement from point to point with the caliper jaws closed. The total reading including points should range between2.350"to2.390".Please write down this
