WHAT IS AIR SUSPENSION VALVE CONTROL UNIT?

Air Suspension Valve Control Unit is located near the air suspension compressor. Air suspension solenoid valve blocks are responsible for distributing air from the compressor to air struts or air springs. Over time its O-rings can dry rot, causing damage to the compressor via air leaks and overworking, along with moisture damage to the electrical solenoid components.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE AIR SUSPENSION VALVE CONTROL UNIT FAILED?

If the Air Suspension Valve Control Unit failed, air may be leaked back to the compressor or the central air reservoir. This can cause the vehicle to not maintain the ride height required. So the failed valve block should be replaced asap.

It does not take very long to replace this part and you can complete it by yourself! Just follow these steps to complete the replacement: Drain AIRMATIC system using Diagnosis; Remove compressor; Detach plug from AIRMATIC pressure sensor; Detach valve unit connector; Undo pressure line terminals; Undo nuts (arrows) and remove level control; Remove rubber buffer to level control valve; Install in the reverse order; Fill AIRMATIC system using Diagnosis; Check AIRMATIC for leaks.
