Receive HTs on Wed, very good condition. Had instructions, but I didn't follow them. I gently divided the 10-11 stalks into 3 groups, planted them in three 4" pots (mix of sand and plain dirt) a few 1" pond pebbles in bottom, made a hole with 2 fingers, stuck plants in, "tightened" the area around the plants, covered with a few pond pebbles and several small pebbles. Put in 6-7" water. Left them alone. Pictures are 1-24 hrs after planting, 2-48 hrs after planting, 3-1 wk after planting. Some yellowish/brownish tips or segments at top of some. Instructions said that's to be expected, so I ain't worried. Oh yeah, I split them into 4" pots rather than all in 1 gal pot because they're supposed to "spread" etc.

The package arrived on a very hot day and wondered if they would survive the day. Plunged them in water for a couple of days and planted. They are doing well.

This was a fun experiment for me! They sent extra just like they said and was nicely packaged. It took a couple weeks but now the new growth is more than half the original height. I put mine in the edge of my man-made container pond.

The horse tail plant came with no real instructions and 3 stocks where yellow , and trying to get. Information out of the merchantWas very difficult , I sent 4 messages and still don’t have answers, all I wanted is more instructions.
