You have to have skills to properly intall the sorround foam. Watch several tutotrial videos if you are a novicce, or better, make a professional do the repair for you. It is worth the money, principally with high prices loudspakers.The quality is top notch.

I have a set of 30 plus year old MARANTZ speakers they were not the most expensive but they sound good. The foam around the 12' Sub was deteriorating so I checked into having them fixed or replaced Whoa!! that would cost more than the speakers when they were new. So I did a little research and found Springfield speakers had a do it yourself kit to repair the foam I watched several videos on you tube so I decided to order the kit thru AMAZON (they had the best price). Got the kit on Friday cleaned the cones and frame. The directions suggest rubbing Alcohol it wasn't working for me so I tried Denatured Alcohol worked like a charm! (Just be gentle on the cone). Long story short this worked out great I really liked the speakers when they were new and they still have a lot of life in them and they sound good as new!!!

Upon recently giving my 30 year old, classic, fantastic sounding Marantz Hi-Fi set up a "spring clean", I was horrified to find I had managed to damage the main driver's foam surrounds on my LS15-A speaker units in the process!! Naively, I hadn't even considered that, over the years, the foam would eventually deteriorate to the extent that it begins to fall apart ... obviously, I now know better! So, these foam surrounds to the rescue - delivered promptly, even from USA to UK, kit instructions (both included paper sheet and web site video) clear and precise, both speakers refurbished in one afternoon, perfectly repaired and back to prime operation again. Highly recommended!
