Everything seems to work fine the remote work fine it seems to charge my battery fine but I wish the wires were 10 gauge they just seem so small the wires off my solar panel are 10 gauge and that's pretty much the standard I have all my solar running is with 10 gauge wire but I'll give it a few more months and see how it works and give an update

I have 10g wiring on a very modest single 100w solar panel at 5a. The wiring on this charger is too thin 16g to match the solar panels 10g...charger wiring is too weak and could cause resistance issues (heat). It is very well made and likely works best for golf cart batteries with a 60 watt 16g wiring solar panel. Nice concept but description and capabilities misleading.

03-15-2021 - UPDATE nearly three months of use. The two controllers (10A) are really stable and working great. I would suggest, like any other solar charging, to get your batteries fully charged before setting the system for your load needs, such as number of hours for a LED light like mine. The controllers have worked flawlessly night after night with my adjustment of practice of charging my batteries fully so I knew the batteries were starting with a full tank. The same day after the batteries had been showing they were fully charged I set my load hours per night, which I set for 5 hours. My LED lighting load is not draining the day's stored battery charge down so that I have to pray for completely sunny days consecutively. The reduced hours of load for my lighting is keeping the entire system steady. I am always seeing the green light on the charger at the end of the day, which means going into the night the LED lighting load time for 5 hours of continuous LED lighting (a 12V sealed battery (AGM) set-up, with a 600 lumen output of one single LED) is being handled.I have not run out of battery since changing the settings to more appropriately handle the load capacity needs with the charging capabilities during the daytime. This has been since the last two weeks of February 2021 in Michigan. Now that we are going into more hours of daylight for spring and summer, and parts of fall, I expect the system to work even that much better.__________________This is one of the very best small charger controllers I have used.I am using it with a 12V 5ah AGM battery and it is installed in a solar LED light. Fits perfect. It really is built like a tank, and the leads are excellent. Really nice heat sync.Depending on your needs, the length of the leads may not be perfect, but for me they were perfect length about 4" leads. I'd say the wire is 16 gauge. Unlike a lot of the very cheap controllers where connecting wires to the controller is very flimsy and diffcult because of the size of the holes and screws, the controller's wires are already affixed inside the waterproof controller. The ends are prepared for connectors. Really well done.Another high-mark quality of the controller is in its ease to set-up. Simple. The instructions are good. One improvement in the instructions they should add is that if you want to have dusk to dawn lighting but want less hours than a full dusk to dawn, you hit the "D2D" button on the remote control and a blue light will flash meaning you have selected Dusk to Dawn. Immediately after you see the blue light flashing choose (select by depressing) and number 1 through 9 which will have your load run that many selected hours (1 for 1 hour , 2 for 2 hours, etc.). Then the blue lights will flash a few more times and end. You have now set up this controller to run for the selected hours after dusk.I also contacted customer service a few times and they have been extremely responsive and helpful.I highly recommend this charge controller. I initially bought one to evaluate and test and use, and now have purchased a second which is working also.

I like that this is waterproof. I use it to maintain the lithium battery on our camper with a 60 watt solar panel when it is parked at home. No whistles or bells, but gets the job done for a reasonable price.

I was in need of a low cost, compact, waterproof charge controller for a LiFePO4 battery. I tried a couple of low cost MPPT offerings and could not get them to function at all. This one is not only tiny but is epoxy sealed, hence the remote control to perform the basic programming functions. It has printed instructions as well as LED functions printed right on the case. This product has exceeded my expectations.

I'm on my third one. This is a nice small size. Since this one has no terminals of any kind it ought to be able to stay waterproof yet I'm on my third one in about 4 years. The potting seems to shrink or moisture is wicking in along the wires or case edge. I use it in a ground mounted vault which due to evaporation and condensation is always high humidity and at times moist. At first I was a bit skeptical of controlling it with a remote but now that it's installed I find the remote is great. No need to monkey with switch settings or trying to push buttons that are hard to get to, just use the remote to set it and forget it. The instructions were not entirely clear to me at first but now that I figured out how the remote works it's really very simple.Regarding the instructions, they don't quite match what is currently being shipped. Past versions had both the IR receiver AND a "blue response LED" which flashed to let you know the remote input was received and programmed. The latest one of these I got doesn't have the "blue response LED" even though the instructions claim it does. Instead, it seems that the "solar LED" flashes in response. Also, the solar LED isn't lighting up when the solar is connected and producing power. So not sure what's up with the LEDs.I took one of the burned-out ones apart and the circuit board edge was barely covered by sealant and water had been able to wick in over the couple years of getting moisture on the outside. They work good but try to keep them dry as best you can.
