Bracket Style
These supports have an L-shaped bracket that's riveted to a 1/4" shank. This makes them exceptionally strong, so you can trust them to easily handle the weight of your glass shelves and the valuable items that will be on display. The shaft of each shelf bracket is 3/8" long, which lends plenty of "bite" once they're installed. The "bracket" part is 5/8" wide, and projects a full " into the cabinet, so they're pretty forgiving if your shelves are a bit undersized!

The plastic shelf pegs in my (1980) kitchen cupboards were looking ready to fail. These metal ones were perfect (and according to specs, supported 5 times the load). However, the round "dowel" part on the plastic ones is tapered and feathered to allow a snug fit, but the metal dowel is slightly larger and longer than the peg holes, so hammering them in all the way...just didn't work. I resolved (I hope) this challenge by turning them upside down so that the shelves would fit, but nothing is "holding" them in.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these pegs. When I placed the order I only needed two pegs but once I saw the quality I wound up replacing all of the pegs for the glass shelves in my china cabinet that came with my cabinet. The padding over the whole edge helps reduce noise, vibration, and keep the shelves stable. I would highly recommend these for anyone needing replacement pegs or looking to upgrade their existing ones to a higher quality peg. They are a good buy for the price.

The china cabinet I purchased had the support pegs up high on the back of it so I did not realize that I had them. Spent a few hours going back and forth to Home Depot to try and find pegs I could use. They were either too small or too big. I went back to the furniture store and they gave me a set of pegs that turned out to be too small. In desperation I ordered these. They came very quickly, and fit snugly in every hole but 2. I widened those over very carefully with a screw driver so that the pegs fit just like the others. I assembled the china in the cabinets with relief. 2 days later, while dusting, I came upon the original pegs. A comparison showed that these from Dugan Hardware are much better because the vinyl grip both cushions and sets the glass shelves. I am very satisfied with my purchase. These are as pretty as shelf supports can be! So sturdy, so consistently uniform. This is a quality product, and with so many in a package, it's a FABULOUS VALUE! Furthermore, doing business with the Dugans is more like doing business with your grandparents! This is all that I had occasion to purchase this time, and they treated me like I'd spent thousands of dollars with them. They are caring, conscientious, and they respond to each client promptly, warmly, and with specifically individualized attention. You'll wish you could buy everything in your life from them! Now, every time I look at my bookcase, I'll be thinking of you and what a great experience this was, and how much light it brought to my poopy week! That's something you can't put a price tag on.
