Brackets are very light gauge metal. Had to drill the shafts and put in pins to help the roller from moving side to side and for overall strength.

These are NOT entirely made of Stainless Steel. I bought these based on the description stating Stainless Steel. When they arrived I used a magnet to verify whether or not they are truly made of stainless steel. The magnet only partially sticks to the outer roller surface so that means it is likely 304 stainless but the magnet sticks to every other part of the assembly, bracket, axle shaft, bearing, etc. This means that if these are exposed to any moisture they will rust. This means these really cannot be used anywhere moisture is prevalent.

I had to return another brand that would not stay in the roller bracket but this pair of rollers seemed like more substantially built. I use these for a raft trailer.

I used these to roll a 700lb beam in through a small hole in my house.The rollers come out of the brackets with a spring loaded axle on one side. So you you can easily mount the bracket then insert the roller.I bought 4 because the beam is almost 30 feet long. But for short periods most of the weight was on a single roller as I pushed it in with my tractor.
