From the moment I unpacked them, I could tell they were built to last. The material is thick, waterproof, and feels like it can take some serious wear and tear. The opening is wide enough to make filling them with sand easy and once filled, they have a solid heft to them. The adjustable straps are a really smart touch. They locked the weights in tightly and didn’t slip, even after multiple pool days and splash sessions. No real complaints here — just a heads up that they are large, so plan on them taking up a fair amount of space within your steps. But honestly, that’s part of why they work so well.

These pool step weights are exactly what I needed to keep my pool ladder and steps securely in place. The 500D PVC material is tough and clearly waterproof, showing no signs of wear even after being submerged for weeks. The adjustable straps make it easy to attach the bags to different types of steps or ladders, whether for above ground or in-ground pools. Filling them with sand was simple, and once filled, each bag is heavy enough (25 lbs) to provide solid anchoring. The size (10L each) is manageable and doesn’t take up too much space in the pool. No leaks, no shifting, and peace of mind every time we swim. Overall, an excellent upgrade from the bulky plastic weights or DIY solutions. Highly recommended for pool owners looking for reliable step stability.

These are made of very solid plastic that should last a long time. No idea whether UV rays will deteriorate plastic--only time will tell. My one concern is that the top does not close shut, so if the bag tips over, the sand or whatever is in it will spill out. That should have been made clearer in the listing website. Otherwise, so far, so good.

As far as I know, these Universal Pool Step Sand weight bags should work nicely. Haven't filled the pool yet but the material seems sturdy and the straps being adjustable should work fine. I don't foresee any problems and it should fix the problem of the floating pool ladder!

So far these have worked to keep our ladder in place with littles. It helps keep them from kicking the ladder.
