I used this to replace a damaged LFP heat exchanger on my SVT Lightning. This heat exchanger is slightly smaller but surprisingly keeps air intake temps about the same as the larger heat exchanger did before it was damaged. This heat exchanger was hundreds of dollars less and was easy to install between the frame rails with 2 brackets from the local hardware store.

I bought this and did fabrication work around mounting it and did not get the vehicle running in time to find the problem so have missed the return window so I’ll update if the seller does anything. But in the mean time I received this no damage to the box and other things than poor quality welds than I was expecting it was what I order and fit my size I had to use just fine. Installed this finally yesterday and started the vehicle and took for a drive, came back the the motor sprayed with dry coolant. I thought it was just the cap needing to be a higher psi rating so while it cooled I headed to town and got a higher rated cap. Opened it up and found the multiple cracks in the neck they are pretty visible now that they have the dried blue coolant in them. In the underneath picture it looks like the welder knew there was a crack and tried to fill it, there would be no reason to normally have weld bead that high on the neck. These two cracks are causing the leaking and no way to fix it without cutting out the neck and welding a new one in. I am disappointed that the automatic system just says to bad your out of the return window. I can’t even get a message to the seller to see what they might do but currently if this is what kind of product they ship with out and quality control of hand weld pieces aren’t at least test to there normal working pressure I’d pass on this company and go somewhere else. We’ll see if the seller responds but I doubt it, and this wasn’t ordered a long time ago. My return window close on May 17th so 2 weeks past a 30 day window. I hadn’t even removed the cap or the plastic caps on the inlet outlet pipes till yesterday not expecting to need to inspect a machined part welded to the cooler. If you do choose to get one just make sure you inspect for damage and pressure check in the return window.
