These seem like a great idea for guitars but the base is too thick which only allows you to clean up to the 3rd or 4th fret, leaving the first few frets un touched without majorly stressing your strings.

Maybe after broken in after a few dozen uses, these will work well. The green padding is just TOO STIFF. So it doesn't seem to "hug" the string as you move it up and down. Think, running a wooden board over your strings, lol. All other aspects are fine, and it comes with 4 in the pack, but I'll never buy these again. Ended up throwing them in the trash.. MIGHT be okay for bass or other strings instruments with REALLY TOUGH thick strings..

I don't care for this product because when I put it on the strings it's size prevents it from gliding completely up and down the strings. Its hard to explain but I wanted to leave this review to hopefully help keep anyone else from wasting their money.

I bought these because I liked the idea of cleaning the fretboard while cleaning off the strings. They really aren't practical for use on my electric guitars due to the combined thickness of the 2 bottom pads. I can get this scrubber past the 2nd fret. At that point it puts so much tension on the strings I'm afraid to push it any further. I've also had the hinge come apart during use. I'll probably use them for other purposes but I don't feel comfortable using them on my guitars.

These work great for cleaning the top of the strings and underneath until you reach the 3rd fret where it stops because it’s too thick. Otherwise it’s great!

Does not fit between the strings and fretboard. Impossible to use. Also if using it from above the strings the padding isn't thick enough to go down below the strings to reach the fretboard. It's impossible to use and the illustration is extremely misleading.
