Fit like a glove on a 1994 Briggs 135202 5hp engine. It even had the correct threaded holes to transfer over the choke and speed linkages. Everything lined up as it should and it fired right up.

I put this carb on a mtd garden tiller 5hp and started right up once it got gas in to it very good quality and awesome price

I purchased this just to get a new carb gasket for my rototiller. It was running fine but gas was leaking between the tank and carb. I decided I might as well put on a new carb also, but when I did, it would not run without the choke on, and then not very well. I put my old carb back on and it ran fine. I don't know why this carb gave me problems and my old one didn't.

I bought this for a 32 year old Craftsman front tine tiller with a B&S engine. There are a few "catches". Another person has mentioned these items in their review, and they are 100% right. All small issues, but just be aware if you are mounting it on a similar engine/setup.1) It has a spring controlling the choke adjustment. You need to cut that spring off, since the engine has a manual choke lever.2) One of the bolts holding it to the engine block hits the carb casting before tight. It's still possible to get it tightened down secure.3) The carb mixture screw is not adjustable. It seems like it is, since it is in the same exact spot as the original carb, but it is not adjustable. The "needle" is just a preset jet (with holes in it...common modern design) which is just screwed in. I REPEAT: YOU CANNOT ADJUST THE FUEL MIXTURE. Don't try...it won't work....the engine will not run. I actually would like an adjustable screw to dial the engine in 100%, but it runs ok. I've seen a few other vendors with this carb, and they are all the same (preset jet).4) The screw hole to mount the throttle bracket to the carb is smaller than the original carb. Luckily I have a huge assortment of screws and found one that fit ok.

I was searching for parts to do a carburetor rebuild on my old chipper/shredder when I found this kit. I compared the pictures to my carb and everything looked good. The price was really good, so I decided to give it a try. I had to make a couple of simple modifications for my particular situation which took about a minute, no big deal. Well, It is now running like new and I'm happy. This was easy to install and required no adjustments.
