This camera is compact, fits in your coat pocket, it's light, and it's well designed. Has a light and a separate mic, BUT if you want to use another microphone, this camera also has a mic input jack! TWO batteries come with it, and a phone charger (not included, but you prolly have a few lying around) will charge the batteries WHILE you record videos!So, yeah, thus full featured camera exceeded my expectations. And that's not easy to do. Kudos to the Chinese on this one!

Garbage camcorder. No image stabilization, I mean ZERO. Garbage video quality, even when still and perfect lighting. Should have known better and spend a bit more. 👎👎👎👎👎Now I’m stuck with a worthless piece of s***

Kids? I don't think so. This is a high quality camcorder that will satisfy almost any family amateur. And compared to the Sony 8mm camcorder I paid $800 for 20 years ago, this thing is unbelievable and fantastic. It has better resolution, lighter weight, smaller media and batteries and many features that just hadn't been invented yet back then.The menu system is a bit clunky though, and might, in fact, be a real challenge for some kids. But once mastered, you have lots of control over camera features and recording modes. The product description does a decent job outlining the features, and it comes with a short, but reasonably cogent set of printed instructions. It includes a memory card and TWO batteries. Everything you need to get started right away. A Go Pro it is not, but for lots of people, it will be close enough, and for a parent that just wants to record their kids growing up, this is more than adequate. Finally I can't believe what you get for the price. Truly amazing.

I actually got this for my son who was turning 6. It’s perfect for him in that he can easily hold it because it’s very lightweight, and he can operate the buttons without much effort. The quality of it all, video and sounds isn’t great and wouldn’t be acceptable for an adult who is looking for a quality hand camera. But for kids, it’s fun and has the boom type microphone which looks cool.
