These cheap HDMI capture dongles have been around for a couple of years now, and they continue to get better and better. The first ones that came out took 1080p and either reduced it to only 30fps capture, reduced picture quality, or both. No more! (Unless you plug this one into a USB 2.0 port, then you basically get the performance of the old capture devices.)With these TRUE USB 3.0 devices (unlike those that just put a blue USB connector on them and call it a day), not only do you get 1080p60, but you get a far less compressed 1080p60 if you select YUY2 output instead of MJPEG. Awesome.Generally, these are cheap, low latency, high quality devices. I can't think of too much more to say, other than that these are probably better than the Cam Link and other pricier options for most users. Great for streaming applications where latency and decent quality are needed. I would say that even if you have a Cam Link, getting one or more of these cheap devices can also be really useful for a streaming setup. Why, you may ask? Because they don't show up as the same device to the computer, so you can specify which camera appears where in OBS or whatever app you're using, and you get a lot finer control with less messing around. I used to have two Elgato Cam Links, and they would get confused about which one was being referenced all the time. With this, even if you go remote and unplug and replug all of the USB devices into different ports accidentally, everything is still cool because it recognizes the specific devices, instead of the specific ports. For me, that was the game changer.Long story short, I'm a fan. I like these.

I cannot speak for streaming as I'm not a gamer, but I use it to connect an old VHS/DVD combo player to my PC in order to rip self-recorded VHS tapes before they finally give up the ghost and it worked perfectly. Nice and compact, no extra wires to mess with, I just plug it in to a USB port on my laptop when I want to record and unplug it when done.

Da ich nicht soviel für eine Capturecard zahlen wollte, nur um ab und an mal von der Switch zu streamen, also dachte ich mir, ich kann dem Stick eine Chance geben. Die Übertragung auf OBS ist fast ohne Delay (ich schätze es auf 50-60 ms). Sie lässt sich einfach als Video-Aufnahme-Gerät einbinden.-Preis-Bild und Ton Übertragung funktionieren einwandfrei-Bis zu 60 FPS möglich (hängt davon ab, mit wie viel FPS das Spiel von der Switch bekommt, da die Switch dieRegulierung der FPS vornimmt).Um es einfach mal zu probieren oder um die ersten Schritte zu machen, optimal. Für Professionelleres würde zu einer richtigen Capturecard raten, aber so zum probieren und rumspielen kann ich das weiter empfehlen.

Vorweg, wer nur eine Kamera an seinen PC anschließen möchte, ist mit dem Stick gut bedient. Wenn hingegen Spielekonsolen aufgenommen werden sollen, wird es ein bisschen kompliziert.Der Capture Stick kommt nur in einer Plastikbox mit einem Aufkleber, der darauf hinweist, dass es eine Anleitung auf Github gibt. Treiber werden keine Benötigt, da das Gerät sich wie eine Webcam verhält.Im inneren werkelt ein Macrosilicon MS2130, dieser ist leider thermisch nicht an das Aluminiumgehäuse gekoppelt und verfügt auch sonst über keinen Kühlkörper. Maximal können 1080p bei 60fps aufgenommen werden, wenn der Stick über einen USB 3.0 (5gbps) Port angeschlossen ist. Das am HDMI anliegende Signal darf keinen HDCP-Schutz haben, sonst sieht man Schwarz. Also nicht wundern, wenn eine PS3/PS4 angeschlossen wird und es erstmal dunkel bleibt.Ebenfalls bleibt es dunkel, wenn kein HDMI gerät angeschlossen ist, eine Einblendung wie „No Signal“ wäre nett gewesen.Interessanterweise unterstützt der Capture Stick auch interlaced Signale (getestet mit 1080i).Audio wird nur in PCM (unkomprimiert) aufgenommen mit 16bit 48Khz in Stereo.Eine Verwendung mittels USB 2.0 ist möglich aber nur mit Einschränkungen bei der Framerate (aufnahmeseitig). Es werden diverse Input Auflösungen von 360p bis zu 4K unterstützt, dabei auch eher unübliche bspw. 1280x1024 allerdings je nach dem mit inkorrektem Seitenverhältnis. Auch wird inputseitig quasi alles von 24fps bis 60fps unterstützt. Es ist sogar möglich bei YCBCR 4:2:0 4K mit 60fps als Input anzuzeigen.Gaming sollte, aber wenn überhaupt nur mit einem HDMI-Splitter vor dem Capture Stick erfolgen, da es doch eine kleine und in Spielen merkbare Verzögerungen gibt (etwa 1/3 Sekunde bei 1080p).Nun aber zum größten Problem, der Stick scheint konstant Frames zu skippen. Egal ob der Aufnehmende Rechner ein Windows Gerät (i5 1135G7) ist oder ein Mac (M1 / M2). Selbst bei nur 720p Input. Es ist dabei auch egal ob OBS oder Quicktime zur Aufnahme verwendet wird oder welches Gerät als Input benutzt wird. Bei einer Kamera als Input mag das nicht so sehr auffallen, bei Rennspielen hingegen schon.Fazit:Für eine Desktopaufnahme oder Kamera macht man mit dem Capture Stick wenig verkehrt, für alles, was wirklich konstant 60fps benötigt, bitte eine andere Lösung wählen.

I used this capture card to attach my camera to ClipChamp and it worked as advertised to capture video. As noted by the seller, no additional drivers are required for Windows. Windows recognized my camera when I attached it through the capture card and I was able to record without any problems.It accepts a 4K 30Hz stream but will only output at full high def 1920x1080 at up to 60Hz. The user guide needs to be downloaded but is pretty straightforward. I also tried the capture card with OBS which was referenced in the user guide which noted that it was a free download. I was not familiar with OBS but the software is very functional and I will be using it more with this capture card.I also was able to attach my laptop to my desktop with this card and record my laptop's screens on my desktop. The capture card does what its supposed to do, recommend the product.

Ich habe mir die HDMI Capture Card 1080P 60FPS Video Capture Device 4K HDMI für meinen Test-PC bestellt.Besonders ist es mir wichtig, dass wir jetzt Aufnahmen von einem andren PC an seinem PC machen können, wenn wir Ausnahmen von PC im BIOS mitschneiden möchten und das geht jetzt schon einfacher. Weil ich jetzt gleich der andere PC im OBS, sehen kann, wird die Aufnahme was oder nicht. Es erleichtert mir erheblich die Arbeit bei Videos für meinen Kanal, als sich das ganze immer auf dem kleinen Display in der Panasonic DMZ G 81 anschauen zu müssen und von dort zu aufnehmen.Was mir gleich gefallen hat, dass die Capture Card in einem Kunststoff-schachtel geliefert wird. Hier kann man sich gut bei nicht nur zum wieder verstauen und findet sie gleich wieder. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist in der Schachtel durch eine Download Adresse hinterlegt. Meiner Meinung braucht man das aber nicht unbedingt jetzt einfach anzuschließen.Die 3.0 USB-Capture Card funktioniert wird von Windows 11 sofort erkannt, ohne irgendwelche Treiber installieren zu müssen. In OBS einfach die Aufnahmen-Karte hinzufügen und seine Einstellungen tätigen. Enttäuschend war, aber auch, dass man hier keine 4 K erreichen konnte.Ab zum Testen:Videoaufnahmen sind Dank der Kombination Capture Card / andrer PC besser in HD 1080p mit 60 FBS recht gut geworden, aber bin ich mit der Bild Qualität so zufrieden.Ich habe meine P Panasonic DMZ G 81 Kamera angeschlossen, die Karte sendet zwar 1080 P Bilder bei 60 FPS an den PC, aber Ton ist echt miserabel, das kann man so nicht verwenden. Ich habe an der Kamera ein teures Mikrofon dran. Was schön ärgerlich ist, aber das ist für mich ein keines Manko.Fazit:Für den Preis ist die Bildqualität gut, man darf halt nicht zu viel erwarten. Mit der Bild-Qualität maximal 1080P bei 60 FPS ist das schon ok und 4K konnte ich nicht erreichen. Damit kann man, aber kann man Leben, da ich sowieso nur mit 1080 P arbeite. Und für meine Aufnahmen (im BIOS) von einem anderen PC ist es ausreichend, für den Preis. Die HDMI Videoaufnahmekarte USB 3.0 HDMI-Videoaufnahmekarte mehr für den, einstiger geeignet. Den Preis finde ich recht günstig und angemessen. Aber die Tonqualität lässt hier echt wirklich zu wünschen über, da muss man nachvertonen. Ton-Aufnahme über direkt die Kamera zu machen, würde ich hier nicht empfehlen, halt wegen des schlechten Tons.Und für Aufnahmen von der Konsole, das würde ich hier auch nicht mitmachen. 4 Sterne ⭐⭐⭐⭐von mir, finde ich daher angebracht. Und eine Weiterempfehlung kann ich hier auch geben, wer mit dem kleinen Manko des Tons zurechtkommt. 🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒

It's a good thing that no manual is needed. This comes with a little slip of paper that refers me to github for the manual, but when I go to github to get the manual, it tells me "Unable to render code block." I guess "calvinxxl" didn't test that.Anyway, it's pretty simple. I plugged the capture card into a USB3 port and plugged the HDMI cable from the camera into it. This turns my mirrorless camera into a webcam for teleconferencing.

I have to admit that I'm an 'old hack' at this stuff... I remember driving over to my local CompUSA to grab components to build systems for clients, (AND myself, LOL!), and one of the popular items was a 'video capture card' that was usually costing anywhere from about $100.00 to nearly $300.00. And of course, technology was nowhere near what it is today.Anyway, I've been preparing to do a studio album, (I'm also a musician/songwriter, etc...), and I thought to maybe include video if I didn't have to spend much on a capture device. So I ran over here to Amazon and started shopping. I came across this HDMI->USB capture device and thought, "For thirty bucks, how good can this be?"....as good as the capture devices that I used to deal with! BETTER actually! This is easier to use, and is capable of 1080p and 60fps. The most 'challenging' part of the installation is the downloading and installation of the driver. (Yeah, right... 'challenging'... LOL!)Within about 180 seconds, I had my Sony Handy-Cam, (HDR-XR520V), coming in at 1920x1080 in wide-screen HD on a Mini-HDMI->HDMI cable into OBS Studio and WOW! Just STUNNING!Scenario: Take a fully-charged laptop, the camera, and this device to the beach, (or other scenic spot), put your laptop on your phone's 5G hotspot, and hit 'Go'! LOVELY, no?!?THIRTY BUCKS!"Just DO it!"

I got this video capture card as I have to capture some videos during my online studies. instructions for this item can be found on the github, so you don't need to worry to loose it somewhere. installation is very similar - plug it to hdmi-port of the videocard and to your usb slot. then everything should be fine. no new apps/drivers should be installed which is great!quality is very good - full hd, so should be sufficient for most of the use-cases.5/5

I rather like this product. It is small and easily fits on the back of my rig. The ability to keep my desk clean is important to me, and this product allows me to do that where other capture cards don’t. In terms of performance, it’s about as advertised. There is no noticeable difference between its advertised capabilities and my personal experience with it. It doesn’t blow you away, but for the price I find it to be perfectly serviceable.
