Cheap, poorly made. It’s adjustable (the bodies slides to adjust to the position of the knob) which was great. However, it feels cheap. Which… you get what you pay for there so that isn’t why this is two stars. There is play in the portion that’s connects to the door knob so your door handle will droop. And if you have a knob then there is a good amount of play before it engages and actually opens the door.

This was a perfect fit to repair a broken door passage handle from about 2010 or 2005? Very happy to be able to use my old handle which matched everything else in the house.

Didn’t fit. The hole for the door handle shaft is smaller so it don’t fit

Due to the internals having rounded barrel unable to slide in squared hole in door without modification. Went with another.Looks solid construction just not right for what I needed

I purchased this for $9.19 to replace the latch assembly in my Wright lockset. My door is common, 1 3/4 inches thick, 2 3/8 inch backset, 1 inch round role and the existing lockset used a square spindle. This latch assembly is for a square spindle. That's important. It was easy to install and fit perfectly. There were some minor differences with this lockset compared to the lockset it was replacing. My "Wright" lockset requires close to a quarter turn to open the door. This lockset only requires 1/8th turn. The "Wright" lockset had a stiffer spring. This lockset turns with less force. I think this one is easier to operate and I prefer the feel. I can't review durability or reliability and I don't have any other locksets to compare it to but for now 5 stars.

Latch face plate is bent sheet metal. The latch hole is width of the plate and much bigger than the latch. Very cheap looks. The latch body is fairly weak construction, exactly the same as the latch I broke. Homedepot has better looking replacement at same price. I'll wait until opportunity comes.

Very poorly made, and specifications were not accurate. The spindle would not fit properly, and the latch bent when I tried to insert it. Junk!

It was quick and easy to install and it’s better built than the original latch, which broke.

Had an entry door break, which turned out to be just the bolt. This saved me from a $70 plus repair. Fit perfectly.

I used this as a replacement for a neighbor's broken latch mechanism on her older handleset. Local big box shops only seemed to carry the newer style crescent-shaped spindle Kwikset version, so after careful comparison I decided to pick this up as the dimensions matched and the square spindle of the original. This was also well priced and didn't have the needless deadlock functionality since it's not a locking component (normal handle on the outside). It ended up being a drop-in replacement, although the tolerances are tighter on this than on the original, some some finagling was required for fitment. That aside, this is a rock solid replacement if you have a non-deadlock latch with a square spindle, which seems to be 'Schlage-style'.
