It does exactly what you expect - lets you switch monitors and keyboard between computers. This will take a couple of displays and swap them from one PC to another, or to a Mac, it does exactly what you expect and works well. Needs a 5V supply from an external USB supply, apart from that everything in the box is there, all the leads needed and so forth and these are good quality ones too. Recommended.

This is the second one of these I have been sent for review and it seems to be the same as the first just from a different vendor. Regardless of that, still most recommended.

4K@30Hz 2 device KVM switch - robust but only supports USB-2.0 for connections and data transfers.I needed a modern KVM solution as my old one only supported VGA and found this one from Evatek. Overall this is a very good 2 device KVM that supports HDMI with the benefit of supporting monitors/systems that can display at 4k @ 30 Hz. This was tested and did work between a laptop and desktop system. What I liked about this was it is very robust, strong and can handle so long term use. I also really appreciated that it comes with everything you need to get this KVM connected to 2 devices fully!HDMI cables, Check!, Power Cables, Check!, USB-2.0 cables, Check!. Like I said everything you need to connect to 2 external displays across 2 different devices. You can easily switch between the devices via the button on the front or keystroke options (in the manual) and either option worked well with no issues. When switching between devices, there will be a few seconds delay as the monitors/displays are being updated on the connected device and again these worked well and every time. The device is actually very small, so the picture makes it look large but this is really a small 2 device KVM. Display quality is sharp, clear and works great across my monitors as well as my wired/wireless mouse and keyboards used. NOTE: I tried both wired and wireless keyboards/mice and they worked just fine. I would have given a higher star review IF they USB was at a later spec and connection type like USB-C or even USB-A as data transfers would be faster and more up to the latest connection standards. An honest review and this KVM does work very well overall and happy to own and use it.

This is a very useful USB switch as it allows 2 separate PCs/laptops to share access to any 4 different USB 3.1 or lower USB-A devices; e.g. mouse, keyboard, printer,USB stick, SD card reader etc. It's very robustly made with a high quality metal casing, and is stated to be compatible with the USB 3.1 gen1 protocol. At the rear of the switch there are 2 USB 3.1 ports to connect to the 2 PC/laptops, and also one 5v power input port. At the front you find 4 USB ports for the peripherals. Two quality USB 3 .1 USB leads and 1 micro USB 5v power lead come supplied in the box; c.f. a small but comprehensive user manual and a rassuring 12 month guarantee sheet. The USB leads are 44'' long; the power lead is 48" long. A power adapter plug is not supplied for the power lead so you either have to source your own 5v power plug and an available mains power socket, or else use a free USB-A port on your computer/laptop. Unfortunately, the switch doesn't work unpowered. Access to the 4 peripherals is redirected between the connected PC/laptops by pressing a white button on the top of the switch, which in turn lights one of 2 small green led to indicate whether PC IN-1 or PC IN-2 port has active connection. It all works really well and I'm correctly using the switcher with 2 different laptops to share a single mouse, keyboard, and USB printer. Only downside with this setup is that only one laptop can have access to the peripherals at any given time.

You need this if you have a work PC/laptop and work from home. With a simple touch of a button you can switch your mouse, keyboard, camera and microphone all from one desk. Making it easy to switch off from work at the end of the day and start gaming. Comes with the cables to set up to both pc/laptops. Overall was much needed for working from home.
