You need to take your old buttons and line it up with the new buttons and tape them together so you don't lose your location. Use a small hole punch to make holes in the right location. (elongate the holes) All the reviews I've read on this product the complaint is that the adhesive sticks and makes the buttons not work. I left the adhesive backing on and used blue painters tape to hold the buttons in place while I mounted the frame back in place. I was able to get it to work with a bit of fitment.
