Just like other reviews said this product has a big made in china but is an AC Delco product. Its is very poorly packaged and the gasket was damaged on mine as well.Amazon made it right but I can’t believe gm packages this product like this. Also, it’s not as illustrated and is good in color, not black like the original part.

Haven't installed this yet. But it's clearly the newer "gold-ish" zinc chromate design. Not painted black like advertised. Original AC Delco units from several years ago were made in the USA and painted black. Deducting 1 star. This one is manufactured offshore with AC Delco numbers stamped on it. Oh well. Won't buy again. If I'm going to get a generic offshore unit in place of an AC Delco, might as well go aftermarket then. They are probably made at in the same offshore factory anyways.Box is way too big for the valve inside. Which caused the valve to bounce around, destroying the gasket that came with it. Deducting a 1 star.

What's wrong with gm ? Really what's the automotive industry becoming? Used to be if you bought a ac Delco part chance's we're it was made in the USA, now china is the source for a brand name that has been built over the decades to stand for reliability, and piece of mind knowing you were going to get long life from whatever part you got from ac Delco, now the aftermarket brands are made better chance's are, and cheaper , we're paying for the name brand , so why are we getting aftermarket parts? Can anyone explain how I'm not supposed to be upset about this? Shame on you ac Delco, thanks for scamming me into purchasing this Chinese part at the highest price of OEM level parts, which aren't even good parts anymore. Old valve was installed for 300k and 28 years, any bets on how this one is gonna hold up? Delco , gm , you inhale profusely. I think I'm gonna be a Ford guy from here in .

I prefer to use OEM replacements on critical emissions parts, this works perfectly on my 1995 LT1 6 speed Camaro, go with this, you won't be sorry!

ACDelco part/package, with "Made in China" stamped on the top. Fits properly and works.

Good OEM part need I say more? Works great on my 1996 Impala SS, supposedly a little more reliable than than the stock part. I'd go with this if you have an automatic or 5 speed LT1. I'm still on the original valve in my 97 6Speed Trans Am with approx 150k miles.
