Does not fit the vehicle as "Guaranteed" by amazon. I also had to pay return shipping.

this axle has the incorrect profile on the outer joint wrong shape to fitthe Audi has 2 close fitting portions of the knuckle and a low center this has several raised ribs they are an interference fit they will not clear 1987 4000 q uprightsif you tighten this axle into place the axle locks against the hub. i was in a bad place and couldent do the work twice so i loosened the bolt enough to let the car roll and drove back and forth 75 feet then progressivly toightened the nut it gradually wore down the axle and the knuckle untill there was zero clearance this item will take you more work to make it fit than repoairing the ends on your original axle.

It fit after some modifications but was not a direct fit and didn't bring any of the mounting hardware. It seemed to have been a returned item that was repackaged. It was too expensive to send back so I did the extra work and filed down the outer CV joint so that it would fit into the hub.
