  • Reduces grabbing and gives smoother shifting and longer clutch life.
  • This is designed to adjust the clutch basket end play to a minimum, leaving room for the discs to spin freely, which prevents the basket from forcing the spinning discs together when the clutch is disengaged, thus stopping the effect of clutch basket walk out with the clutch disengaged.
  • If you have ever felt your bike lunge forward at a stop light for no apparent reason, this is why.
  • When used with the “Solution” clutch hub bearing kit and clutch hub liner kit, you will upgrade your clutch assembly by 50 years.
  • Fits 1941-(Early)1984 Harley Knucklehead, Panhead & Shovelhead Big Twin Models with a 10-Spring Clutch & 5 Long Adjustment Studs. (Fits models with belt or chain drive primaries)

Please note that this is for 5 finger clutch hubs. It's a generic version of the Ramjett clutch retainer made by Mid USA, likely in TaiwainI have a 1980 shovelhead with a lurching clutchThis is what I did:-Remove the original squirrel cage cover and install the plastic clutch retainer over the "A" holes-Install circlips-Drill clutch fiber plates out from 3/8 to 25/64 so that they can move more freely on the studs-Clean clutch steel/fiber plates with acetone or brake cleaner-Reinstall-Adjust pushrod screw-GO RIDEThis works just as well as the Ramjett/Sifton plastic clutch retainer in my opinion

I installed this in my 5 spd Shovel and no more problems!

It cracked during installation. The circlips are too large for the recessed area so you have to jam them down in there. Buyer beware.
