In my opinion, these are dangerous! If you extend them almost all the way and touch your Echo 5 on the top, your Echo 5 will almost likely fall over. I believe the back of the base is not heavy enough to support the Echo. I had two and am reuturning both for a differen type.

I got an Echo Show 5 for the end table next to my bed, and originally I had it sitting directly on the table. I found that it was a little too low, though, especially text at the bottom would often end up being blocked from view by other items on the table. So I got this to raise the Echo unit above other items. I chose this one because it was the choice that seemed to have the most options for adjusting height and angle.Overall, I like it. It's stable, it holds the Echo Show up well, and I haven't seen any signs of it moving or changing position over time with the weight of the unit. I like that you can adjust the height of the stand, the angle of view, and the rotation. Basic movements like turning the Echo Show can be performed one-handed (some more complex adjustment like moving it up and down requires two hands, one to move the unit and one to hold it down).I don't really trust the pass through for device charging (no specific reason, just my own preference about being careful about what I plug my expensive devices into), so I haven't really tried that. It's there if you want it though.Overall, if you've got an Echo Show 5 and need a stand for it, this is a great choice.

I really love this stand. I love that you can adjust the height & it also swivels. I like the black color too. The magnet holding the echo to the stand is nice and strong. I like this feature because it allows me to pick up the Echo Show with ease. I also like that the charging plug for the Echo Show plugs into the stand and then there’s a separate plug going from the stand to the Echo Show. The stand itself also has its own USB port as well as a USB-C port aside from where your charging cable plugs in. Which I think is great. Provides even more versatility to this thing. The stand when extended to its full height is very sturdy also. It even stays standing when extended all the way forward too, which I was very impressed to see. It is extremely well made and a great value for the money. Overall, I am very pleased with this product

This stand is great to raise the height of an Echo Show 8 3rd Gen off the table a little bit. This is specifically designed for the new 3rd Gen due to the change in the base where the 1st and 2nd Gen had a bar. My Echo Show 5 has always been low, little hard to see, voice sometimes carry over to the Echo the next room over instead of catching it on this one, and dropping in on the camera showed the ceiling from the design angle. This fixes it and gives me the angle I need. However, the base is not heavy enough to be able to angle it in all ranges. If it's too much of an angle or too much forward, the whole thing will fall over. For main functionality, it's great. The additional charging feature is not great. The USB-C port doesn't charge Android phones, Pixel phones to be exact trying multiple cables. Using a USB-C to USB-C cable that didn't charge the Android phone, I put on an adapter for Lightning where an iPad charged fine. A direct lightning cable also worked fine. The Android phones charged on the USB-A port but at a regular rate.Pros:- Nice matte and a little bit of glossy finish to match the Echo Shows 5- Magnets attracted and strong enough to hold Echo Show in place- USB-C and USB-A charging with original Echo adapter (No additional adapter needed)- Sturdy material- Height adjustmentCons:- USB-C port doesn't charge Android phones- Magenta not as strong as it could be. Comes off easily when adjusting.- Not a heavy base and will fall when angle is too much too much or extending too much (made for up and down but not extend forward)- Turning left and right pivoting on the lower base makes clicking sounds- Not noticable unless you look really close but the bottom plate against the Echo Shows is not straight and creates a really small inconsistent gap along it it

We have had an Echo Show for a while as well as a stand for it, but it never really fit right (even though it was for the correct series) and it was way too low...so it wasn't function. I ordered this one hoping it would be an upgrade and it certainly is! It is excellent! It is super easy to put together - comes assembled - all you have to do is swap the plugs. It is FUNCTIONAL - instead of just being a stand, it also has a USB and a USB C port, so we can plug things into it and keep things that we also keep on the desk in the office charged (like iPads)It is adjustable so it can be raised HIGHER, making the Show easier to see AND stopping the UBER-ANNOYING issue of accidentally brushing against the Show and making it talk or play music etc. when reading for a pen. I appreciate the touch screen on it and love that it works so well, but I contemplated taking it out of the office for this reason, because every time I'd move the pencil cup, it would start making sounds and startle me LOLI also love that it moves from side to side, too - I share our home office with my wife and if one of us wants to look at it or access a feature, we simply move it just like you would your head...no fuss, no tugging on cords, etc. Awesome.I can't think of anything but great things to say about this little stand - it's fantastic! I highly recommend it!
