Weighted vests are a great way to add some intensity to a workout, increase core strength, and boost joint and bone strength. From what I've read, they're a lot better than ankle or wrist weights.I use this vest to increase the workout when I walk my dogs, and feel that it really helps me get a good workout in even when they want to go a little slowly. This is very well designed. It's adjustable and fits well, and has a lot of reflective patches for extra visibility when walking at night. I have the "40 pound" model, which comes with 18 removable weight blocks, which I've shown in the attached photo. The vest has two rows of pockets on each side for the blocks, so each of the front and back sides have a row of five pockets on top and four on the bottom. The weight blocks are more or less the size of a bar of soap if you shaved the sides down a little.I weighed the vest when empty (1035 grams) and nine of the blocks (between 918 and 938 grams, with an average of 929 grams per block .) That way, I can customize the total weight between about two pounds empty up to about 39 pounds fully loaded.I really appreciate how well fitted and adjustable this vest is, and am currently using it at 20 pounds with a goal of reaching the top weight of 39 pounds. There are some other vests that use sand, either sewn into the vest or in removable bags. The sand can adjust a little bit, but I prefer these solid weights. They're easier to work with, and since they're removable, I can machine wash the vest.It might be a little more convenient if the weights were standardized to two pounds or a kilogram per weight, but that's not a big deal for me - I'd strongly recommend this vest for anyone who wants an adjustable vest with this range of weight.

Any anime / manga fan has heard of Dragon Ball Z. And any DBZ fan knows that one of the main methods used by Goku to train is weighted clothing. While I'm pretty sure this won't allow humans to become Super Saiyans, the principle is very sound...adding weight to your core will make your core muscles work harder and will encourage the building of strength just by wearing it around.I got the 40lb version, which I recommend unless you're absolutely in need of the most movement flexibility, which the lighter vest is best for. It does restrict your upward shoulder movement just a bit, so it makes things like jumping jacks a bit tougher on the arms. But one of the main aspects of the 40lb vest is the fact you can remove weight from it at will, so even if you get the 40lb vest, you don't have to use it as a 40lb vest, you can drop weight to whatever level you like. The lighter vests won't let you go heavier the way the heavy vest will let you go lighter, so I highly recommend the 40lb version even if you don't think you'll be using it at max all the time. The quality of everything seems excellent, but it's admittedly not very breathable, you will sweat in this, which is probably a good thing as well. It's hand-wash only, which is a bit of a bummer, and I'd love to see them come out with a machine washable version, but it's not that bad to hang it up and wash it off outside once in a while with the garden hose. It fits pretty well, and I didn't notice a lot of movement, but you definitely feel the weight, lol. For the money, I really think it's a great value as far as training tools goes, because you can wear it while you do just about anything and get the core benefit. Overall, I like it a lot and will definitely be wearing this to train like Goku. 5 stars.

Super sturdy and well built. Adds a nice amount of weight to your work outs. Easily adjustable and super comfortable. Can wear for hours without it digging or chafing

Easy to adjust the weight of this by taking out the packs. It is comfortable and I'm a chunky girl. So I've been losing weight, and I feel like I've hit a point where I'm at a stall. So I figured I would give this a try to get my body to work harder thinking I still have more weight on me than I really do. So to me the workout value of this vest is worth the price. I wear it while I am walking, or doing house work around the house. Very good weighted vest.

This is so cool. My husband loves it. He’s started wearing it to work out and when he goes running. He would like bigger sized weights but that’s my fault🤣He says it’s comfortable and adjustments are easy. The vest itself is not heavy and it helps him add weight for workouts.

This vest is well made and easy to adjust. Weight is even balanced front-to-back, which is nice. After using it for a few workouts, I can say that it's definitely restrictive on a larger/muscular frame. I felt constant pressure around the side of my neck, and the should straps were so wide that it limited my shoulders upward range of motion. It's no breathable, not that I expected it to be, but I noticed a lot more sweat under the vest.

Wanted to add additional weight training to outdoor walks/hikes by adding a weighted vest. This one is perfect! The individual weights are a solid wrought iron and make adjusting the weights super easy as they are easy to slide in/out if the weights holder pockets. This one is a full 40 lbs and so you can adjust the weights and start low. No smells at all whatsoever. The velcro is super strong. It is comfortable considering you are carrying 40 extra pounds! Fits great, I am a bit chestier and I had no issue with the sizing of the vest or the belt. Great value. This one is built to last!
