This was perfect for holding a dial indicator. Being able to move it in any direction is great and it locks in position easily. The magnet is fairly strong.

Excellent product and very easy to use and priced right. I use this to adjust my Grizzly planer. Grizzly sells a tool just for this application. Don’t spend that big dollar— this solution works perfectly

The single knob to tighten all the joints at once is very convenient. The clamp instrument holder works well, much better than the clamps that use a tab on the back of a dial indicator. If you have one of the ubiquitous cases for a dial indicator, base, and point set, this base will fit, but you may need to take a photo once you get it in so you can repeat the performance. I spent an embarrassing half hour trying to figure out how I did it the second time! Here's a photo of how it fits.

While this is not a Noga, this is a cheap alternative! Still moves the same for ease of indication.

The adjustment could be a little smoother with a finer thread. Other than that for the money it's good. Magnet is strong also.

It's good for light to medium use and the magnet holds solid to metal. I like the one knob that tightens and loosens all of the arms, it makes it much easier to adjust. And when tightened, all of the arms are ridged. This is great for what I use it for.
