Ordered 2 sets, 1 for our truck and one for our SUV. They work great and once we got the hang of installing, they went on great. You need to have the hood up as far as possible to install because they don't collapse a bit to facilitate install. My husband tried by himself and finally had me hold the hood up as far as possible and they went on easy.

These worked great after install and lifted the heavy hood on my 2002 Excursion with ease. But after a few weeks I noticed them getting weaker and then two months later the hood was falling on my head. I have purchased many different brands of hood struts for several vehicles, none have ever failed till I got these. Do not buy!
