Used this for just under a year, it has always leaked a little water but I assumed it was condensation. Today it began leaking water much more aggressively, after opening it up the blue water tank is cracked in 3 or 4 places. Do not buy this chiller, you may not even know you have a faulty one until its too late.

I don’t normally take the time to write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so now. I bought this Chiller at the end of July. I woke up this morning to its temp gauge read 59. The actual water temp was 76. With the bad temp gauge not reading correctly it wouldn’t kick on to cool the Axolotl tank. I have it set to start up when the temperature reaches 63. At this point I need a new Chiller…these things are just too expensive to have to replace every three months

I got this cooler for my 40 falling axolotl tank. The first one it received was extremely loud and sounded like it wasn’t working right so I put in for a replacement. Customer service is a 10/10 they were concerned as to why I was returning it for a replacement and cared about my satisfaction with their product and were very helpful. Receiving my replacement, it is installed and is working quickly and quietly and my axolotl is very happy with the temperature being maintained at a solid 60°. It works great and I am loving it so far!Update: it broke on me and since this was my last straw with this cooler after replacing the pump to see if that was the issue it wasn’t cooling my tank any longer and my axies aren’t happy. So I’m done trying to get this device to work and I am taking my business elsewhere

Most chiller won’t go below 64F and this one goes even colder. Bought this for an axolotl and it gets my 40g breeder down to 62F no problem and I live in a dessert where our summers get to 110F+ and my house sits around 75F.

A cheaper alternative to cool your co2 laser. It does require an auxiliary tank to be used for laser cooling. We use a 5 gallon tote. Temperature readout is great and accurate. This is an actual chiller. Just does not have a tank. I assume this is why the price is lower than more expensive purpose built units. Sorry I can’t help the aquarium folks.

Just set it up two days ago and so far...No leaks, no tripping of breakers, good temperature control. Nice and quiet.Exactly what I was hoping for.I have my own pump so the one that came with is now my backup.Only Time will tell if it has a reasonable lifespan.Update,,,,,18 months later and it's still working.Highly recommend it.😎

Had a cheaper chiller for 20 gal axalotyl tank that struggled to maintain 65F; paid around $270 a year ago. Finally stopped cooling and bought this one. What a difference! This has been with us a week and is quiet and wroks like a champ! Lowered the temp from 70 to 61 F in an hour in the 20 gal tank,
