There two types of these lace bite pads, one kind had hook velcro on it and these A&R ones have glue. Glue ones did even last the drive to the rink. They fall off, you can stick them back in a use them, Gel part is the same, if anything A&R may be even nicer. BUT, the velcro ones stay on for moths, mine darkened up after a while, I started looking for an upgrade. Our LHS did not have the original ones, only these A&R. I tried. Search continues.

First time buying this particular product, have used other brands in the past. Can't get it to stick to my skate tongue, same style of tongue used w/other brands. I wouldn't buy this again, waste of money. If I could give it a minus star I would.

This gel pad will never stick!!! A useless thing. How to glue to felt.

Took away my lace bite (which was the reason for purchase). Would not stay in place on it’s own though - needed a couple strips of duct tape to hold it to the inner skate tongue

Great for lace bite! Being that I’m on skates 4 days a week it’s very easy to keep from getting lace bite on your tongue….

Pads were not sticky enough to attach to anything and was pretty thin so I doubt it would help lace bite too much

The person who designed these obviously never actually installed the product on their skates. The adhesive doesn't stick at all. It barely hung on and when I removed my foot from the skate it took the pad with it. I'm sure the gel pad would work but you'll have to stick it in the socks.

The pads with great for reducing the preview point of the lace across the front of the ankle while tightening skates, however they fell out after the first game with them. I just set them in place before lacing up and they continue to work great.

My most expensive, best performing pair of aggressive inline skates cause me incredible pain on my upper ankle and front of my lower shin. I determined it was the edges of the tongue. I simply cut this into the three sections and super glued it to the far left, far right, and upper lip of my tongues and it immediately relieved all of the pain. They went from being impossible to skate for more than 20 or 30 minutes to an entire 2.5 hour session. I don't think these would stick with the adhesive they come with, but the performance of the product is so amazing, and the cost is so low that I can't complain about that at all. AMAZING product. They absolutely saved this pair of skates for me.

The gel works as it should but they did not stick to the skate tongue at all! Not sure why but placing them on my ankle before tightening the skate works.

Just like everyone else, I have an issue with these not sticking after one use. I had to super glue them in and they are still there after 8 weeks or so.The product works perfectly if you can get it to stick.
