I needed a new yoke because my other one was warped and I was getting binding on the input and diff ring gears even when greasing them a lot. They shouldn't be THAT TIGHT. You should be able to torque the screws down fully with minimal binding of the gears. I dont care what people say, backing out the screws to loosen the yoke is a bad idea! If your yoke is bad, you'll know by how tight the gears are when you torque it down after maintenance. That means REPLACE THE YOKE!
