Weird angle, has a metal part that stops the metal you are cutting from passing through. Just to be sure it wasn't user error, I purchased another similar item on Amazon (tried to buy from my local hardware store but they didn't have it), but with about a 60 degree angle difference and it worked perfectly, I am in the process of returning this.
