My gaming PC is set up in a part of the house where the signal isn’t the best. Running an Ethernet cable wasn’t an option, so I needed something that could handle a strong, stable connection. This WiFi adapter has been a solid fix. I mostly play online multiplayer games, and lag was a big problem before. After switching to this, I found way fewer disconnects and way more consistent speeds. Streaming in 4K also works smoothly. The dual antennas help maintain a strong connection even when I’m farther from the router.

Works well to give my desktop WiFi connectivity. I'd recommend. (When I built this last desktop PC, I should have bou;ght a motherboard with WiFi. Didn't think I needed it then - always used Ethernet, but recenlty, i decided to put my printer(s) on WiFi and needed to change the PC to have WiFi.

Very handy usb Wi-Fi adapter this. Gone are the days where using a pci-e based internal adapter is required to get a really good Wi-Fi connection. This adapter offers impressive speeds and has plenty of Wi-Fi standards supported.I’d say more ideal for someone with a pc in use where a hard wired connection isn’t possible or practical - because if it was you’d be better with hard wired obviously. But for those less than ideal locations away from the close proximity of the Wi-Fi router this adapter excels and provides a fast stable connection.Price seems good if bought at current cost (just under £40) so it’s an easy recommend from me.

I installed this WiFi adapter on my PC mainly for gaming and watching movies. The installation was very simple, just plug it into a USB port and install the driver. After using it for a few weeks, I’ve noticed that it’s much faster than my previous WiFi adapter and almost no latency. The entertainment experience with it has been fantastic. I will buy another one for my family.

I set up this Tri-Band Wireless Network Adapter for my desktop, hoping to improve the overall connectivity in my home. It worked out exactly as I had hoped. The setup process was easy, and the adapter quickly recognized my network, allowing me to access the 6 GHz band, which provides faster and more stable speeds compared to the lower-frequency bands. Before this adapter, my connection often dropped when multiple devices in my house were using the internet. Now, with the ability to connect to the less congested 6 GHz band, my desktop maintains a stable and fast connection, even when other devices are online. The improvement in speed is particularly noticeable during video streaming and online gaming, where smooth performance is crucial.I also found it beneficial when using the desktop for work. The faster speeds mean that I can download large files and work with cloud-based tools without worrying about connection issues. The installation was so simple that I didn’t need any extra equipment or CDs. I just plugged it in, and it worked seamlessly with my desktop setup. With this adapter, I can now make full use of my home network without concerns about poor connection quality. It has really made a difference in the way I use my desktop.

Once set up and connected in Windows 10 (which was a breeze) I was getting fantastic network speeds using this adapter. Other adapters which are priced much more expensively don't really have anything to offer in addition to what you get from this budget priced adapter. After using it for a while, I must say that I'm very impressed with the performance. Ok, the antennae could be a little bit more substantial and solidly made but I don't suppose they really need to be, as the performance is up there with the best kit. It gets slightly warm in use like most electronics do, and it's not an issue at all.

Item received in good condition in a branded box with good clear and easy to read instructions. As I am working away normally at least once a week and staying over at hotels I always like to be able to connect myself on a strong and stable connection where possible for work. Often hotel WIFI is really poor or you have to pay lots more to get a faster connection and this dongle really is the answer I have been looking for.The previous one I used was much smaller and this is much bigger but it seems to use that larger size to give a fantastic strong connection that is stable and hasn't had me lagging out at all. I like how it does fold down flat which is great when travelling and it takes up little space this way. As a means for me connecting and working smoothly and hassle free whilst away then this is great and has already helped so much just by giving me that stable connection to be able to work freely and without interruptions which for me is offering great value for my money and time which is just as precious.

Let me tell you, I've been through my fair share of Wi-Fi adapters. Some were slow, some were unreliable, and some were just plain confusing to set up. But this one? This one is different. From the moment I plugged it in, I could tell it was a keeper. The connection is rock solid, and I haven't experienced any dropped signals or slowdowns. I'm a big gamer, so having a stable connection is super important to me. This adapter has definitely delivered on that front. And the fact that it supports the latest Wi-Fi 6E standard is a huge plus. I'm future-proofing my setup, which is always a good feeling. If you're tired of dealing with Wi-Fi problems, I highly recommend giving this adapter a try. It might just be the solution you've been looking for.

This is a great little Wifi adapter that really improved the speed and reliability of the wifi on my laptop, but it's not going to work for everyone.First up, you do need a compatible Wifi 6 router to take advantage of the increased speeds. I've had one for a while, but not been able to take advantage of it until now. If you have an older router, the adapter will still work, and you might get some benefit from the external antennas, but you won't get the increased Wifi 6 speeds.Another potential down side is that it's PC & Windows only, so it won't work on a Mac. I don't know if that's a limitation of Apple devices, or just that they don't want to make an Apple driver, but it's a bit disappointing.Final thing to look out for is simply the design. It has a USB type A plug on it for some reason, so when using it I have to use it with a USB C to A adaptor, and the whole thing is a little unstable sticking out of the side of my computer. It's a bit easier to manage when I'm in my office and can just plug it into my USB hub, but if you're carrying a laptop around with this plugged into a USB C to A adaptor, it feels like it might end up either falling out or bending your USB ports if you put it down wrong. That's probably not so much of an issue if you're careful, but I can't help but think there must be a better design for devices like this.

In terms of construction, it is a bit toy-like but still better than the mini-dongles thanks to larger antennae. There's some vents on the sides for heat dissipation which allows it to stay relatively cool even over long durations of use.Install-wise, there is no native support in both Windows 10 and Windows 11, even after Windows update. It requires you to install the supplied driver package from Realtek, and the Wifi adapter actually shows up as a USB drive if no drivers are present on your system. Note that if you are using a company machine without admin rights, it will be impossible to use this adapter unless you get IT's help to install it.Typically, I try to avoid installing software coming from relatively unknown/untrusted vendors to avoid malware infection. However, I scanned the package at VirusTotal and it came up clean. Also as Realtek does not distribute drivers to the public, there isn't much option to obtain them from official channels.Post installation, this wireless adapter shows up as a Realtek 8832CU Wireless LAN WiFi 6 USB NIC. Looking at the driver properties, we can see that the 6GHz band is supported and therefore this is a true Wifi 6E adapter. It also supports up to AX5400 speeds if your router is capable of it.In use, I found band selection was a bit flaky. Unlike my Pixel phone that always connect on the 6GHz band first, this adapter almost always prioritizes the 2.4GHz band over all others even when it's point-blank from the router. After disabling the 2.4GHz and 5GHz option in the drivers, I eventually got it to connect at 6GHz. Perhaps the issue is driver related because the included version is quite old (2023). Aside from that, it performed quite well (maxing out my internet connection) and the connection was solid.Overall aside from the default band issue, it seems to perform reasonably well with a stable and strong signal. With a fairly affordable price tag, it's an option to look out if the ones from the big names is out of reach.
