Radios are easy to program and work great. I live in the mountains and can receive 12 miles from base with the long range antenna.

It's like an upgraded UV-5R, but more. Consider buying this over the UV-5R, but the batteries are different. Other accessories are compatible and included 2 antennas. Programmed with Baofeng K6/K63 software and worked ok. But could not program the air band frequencies. Needed to use chirp to add air band. Also able to edit the radio configuration and program the side buttons. Although, I could not figure out how to change the FM radio frequencies....maybe another time.The belt clip snaps into the battery thus not screwed to the frame, so attaching a counter-poise is not possible to clip to the clip screw. I did notice some RF or burn from the battery contacts when transmitting. Since it is USB C able to charge, you can to apply tape over the battery charging contacts. Audio is loud. Size is heftier than the UV-5R as the battery is larger.I am pleased with this radio and the price. A great extra or beginner radio.Note that there is not an exterior model number label and the radio is manufactured by "PO FUNG".

What a great deal. Nice radios! Have them programed and ready to give away at our club. The speaker is small so the sound is not as good as bigger radios but as always you get what you pay for! We liked them so much we bought a second set!
