This is amazing it cools my 50gallon down by at least 3 degrees. Got it for an axolotl since I don't have a chiller, I kept struggling with water temp hitting 70°F. Now the highest has been 68. Love it would get again

This is the larger version of this brand's fan and I'm not quite sure what I was expecting. With the smaller models there was a noticeable issue with the brackets where they don't fit on most standard aquariums under 40 gallons. I only managed to get the bracket to work on a larger 40 gallon breeder tank.Additionally, these fans just don't last long. If too much splash back hits it, they're toast. If calcium build up hits it, it's toast. The reason I give it 3 and not a lower score is because while they're not great, they're not terrible and with some minor tweaks they could be perfect! The pros are the fan function itself. It blows hard, with adjustable speed. When it works, it works well, even if you probably have to rig it weird to make it fit. It is pretty loud on higher settings but it's a cheap fan so that's not shocking.

I didn't need a very powerful fan but I needed something to circulate the air in my frog tank. This worked great, as inside the tank is very humid which was causing mold growth. Turning this on a timer for a couple hours a day has completely stopped that. It was easy to install in the to of the tank, I did have to modify it to hang since my terrarium was completely homemade, but it worked. Very quiet for the power behind it, great value to keep my terrarium mold free, and great design making it easy to control the speed. Fit amazingly.

This Cooling Fan seems to be well built and its nice to have multi speeds to choose from. It doesn't fit on "rimmed" tanks so one needs to be extremely careful trying to jury-rig this on one. The last thing you want is for this to slip off the rim and fall into your tank while plugged in! The air volume and velocity seems decent for the intended purpose to cool the tank through evaporation. You water losses will significantly increase depending on your humidity levels of the air. Personally, I don't consider this a "chiller", only an evaporative cooling fan. The noise levels are not bad, but are noticeable.

Effective Cooling for My Reef TankI used this aquarium cooling fan in my sump over the summer, and it made a noticeable difference in maintaining stable temperatures. The fans are powerful enough to keep my reef tank cool even during the hottest days, which is crucial for the health of my corals and fish.Adjustable Fan Speed is a Big PlusOne feature I really appreciate is the adjustable 9-speed controller. Being able to fine-tune the fan speed allowed me to find the perfect balance between cooling efficiency and noise level. It's easy to adjust, and the external controller is straightforward to use.Durable and Quiet OperationThe fan's build quality is solid, and it's held up well in the humid environment of the sump. The noise level is pretty low, which is great since the tank is in a common area. The 180° adjustable airflow direction is handy for targeting specific areas that need more cooling.Good Value for Reef EnthusiastsOverall, this cooling fan has been a worthwhile addition to my reef tank setup. It's not overly fancy, but it does the job effectively, and the ability to control the fan speed makes it versatile for different conditions.

I don't have an aquarium, but I got this to occasionally sit inside of a window frame to pull air out of a room. We have a small pool house that I like to smoke cigars in. Putting this in a window on one side of the room with a window open on the other creates a perfect conveyor to pull that smoky air out. I still need to saturate the room with an ozone generator to get the last bits of odor out of the room, but this does 90% of the work to remove smoke in real time.Fans that are marketed as a window vent are (for some reason) far less powerful than your average 4" computer fan. So, using something like this pulls far more air, and so is far more effective.I'm happy I got it

The fan is of good quality construction. On high, it is quite loud but the noise is barely noticeable at the lowest setting. The T5 lights above my aquarium tend to heat the water by 2 degrees Fahrenheit after being on for a few hours. The chiller helps to counteract the heat from the lights, and keeps my aquarium within optimal temperature range. This also means I don't have to raise the lights further away from the tank, which would make the lights less effective. For my 91 gallon saltwater tank, the mid-range settings are sufficient to keep my aquarium cool from mid-morning until evening (or, in other words, when my T5 lights are on).Pros:- With a Phillips screw driver, you can switch the mounting brackets so that you can tighten the screws from either side (inside or outside) of the tank for more accessibility.- There are 9 speed settings.- Fits on tanks with glass up to 0.6" thick.- Can be tilted at an angle between 0 and 90 degrees.- Company offers service that is beyond normal customer support (though I haven't needed it yet). Customer support is e-mail only.- Between settings 1-4, the fan doesn't make any noticeable noise.Cons:- Between settings 5-9, the noise can be irritating and loud.- Works best for rimless tanks. The fan can wobble when set up on tanks with rims.- Needs to be manually turned on and off; You can't program it to automatically turn on/off after a set amount of time or on a schedule.- The speed control cable is separate from the power cable, and doesn't have a tight fit. I'd prefer the speed control to be part of the power cord, so that there are fewer cables to keep track of or that can get tangled
