I can’t open and close them so they are unusable

The captive bead is almpst impossible to get on and off even after loosening it. Loosening the bead ring requires tools you cannot do it by hand. Its cleae the company doesnt care about quality of its product if its impossible to use. Just buy a different septum jewelery, it looks cool but it's horrible.

How do they expect people to use these? I bought two (different colors) in 2 gage and even with my monster multi-lever ring expander pliers that work with 2 gage titanium, I couldn't pry either open. The rings look nice, but for the moment, they're unusable.

I have ordered in the past from Wildklass so I knew the product I was going to receive was going to be good jewelry. My 2g captive ring was shipped quickly and once I got it I wasn’t disappointed. The only drawback is the stone bead was almost impossible to remove. Once removed again it was almost impossible to put back on. I’m still working on stretching the ring so the bead can be removed easily. With that being said I will still again purchase items from Wildklass.

Craftsmship and materials are great - 3 star rating is because the ball is impossible to put in yourself. If you order this be prepared to have tools and an extra set of hands. Ordered the 2g 19mm... Kinda disappointed, if you have all of the extra however this one is for you

The beads are impossible to take off the ring, and put back on, without stretching the ring out. It was so difficult to get the bead out so I could put these on. I bought two of them for earrings (that's right, you are paying $10 for just 1 of them) and I had to use a pair or retainer ring pliers to stretch the ring enough that my wife could pull the bead out of the kung fu grip that the ring had on it. Then when I put them in, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get the bead back on the ring. So I had to take them out, and use that same tool to stretch the ring enough so it permanently changed, and had to keep opening and closing until I got the ring size just right so that I could get the bead in place. Then once you get it in, it rattles. This is no doubt a result of me having to manipulate the size of the ring, BUT without doing so, the bead would never have gone back in. I can only assume that these are formed with steel, and then coated with color stained steel, because in messing with getting the size right, some of the color had worn down to silver. Although they were a complete pain to put in, I do like the way they look. Which is good, because of all the work it took to get them in there, I'll probably keep them in for a few years. You feel the weight at first, but get used to it quickly. Overall, I would recommend a threaded bead, or a different pair of captives.
