I use this for heating my coffee up in the microwave. It is so very much lighter than the Pyrex ones. My mugs are "travel" mugs, and have metal in them, so they can't go into the microwave.I am a little disappointed that it only has metric measurements. The picture shows U.S. measurements, as well. It is still useful, and I have other measuring cups.***For those who think the reviews on this site may be rigged....Please note: I Do Not receive any discounts for my reviews. We used the mug once a week since Christmas (present) and only hand washed. Never dropped or banged it. Today I filled the mug and it sprung a leak in the bottom of the mug. There was a hole.

Works great. This is used for fitting in my fridge water dispenser. I make 16 ounces of coffee at a time so this is perfect.

I use this to make tea in at work because they are cheap asses and got rid of disposable cups to save $ but still offer all the free coffee and tea you want all day.
