I use newsprint when doing croquis, quick figure sketches, etc in charcoal. I've used four or five different brands and really like this one for price and quality.

My daughter is taking a drawing class as part of her course and she is really impressed both with the speed it was delivered and the quality of the product.

Arrived perfectly, quality is great. I was spending so much money buying strathmore paper, this is working the same, so I am happy saving money. I mounted the pages to one of my old blocks with a pair of clips to take to art class

I can't find newsprint in my local stores so I am happy that if an item isn't local, there is Amazon.I have Gouldians birds and do not want the ink from a regular newspaper lining their cage so I like buying this type of paper. We also use it for grabbing a few sheets for shipping small goods. I grab a few sheets when I empty my cabinetsof breakables to pass on to my children homes. We keep it on the table beside the birds and is easy tochange the flooring of the bird cages twice a day. This works for me the last six months and will be ordering another delivery today.

You are probably looking at this product because you are interested in a flat stack of paper, but -buyer beware- this item probably won't arrive to you in a flat state. They insist on shipping this stack of flat paper, wrapped only in another piece of paper. Sure, its then stuck in a box for shipping, but its a BIG box. Which means the paper moves around in the box and crumples in over itself. The first order I got was completely wrinkled- all the way through, all 100 sheets. I returned it with some constructive feedback and waited for my replacement. Unfortunately the second stack came packaged the exact same way and -you guessed it- not flat. This time, the paper is worn and frayed all around the edges- probably because that sheet of paper it was wrapped in was disintegrated. The paper itself is fine. Its not white like in the pictures, but more of a off white color. The quality is thin, but if you are just looking to have a really big pad of paper on the top of your desk, it'll do the trick. If you don't mind writing over wrinkles, that is.

This is not a sarcastic comment. I use newsprint for the bottom of my kingsnake cage. You just fold it to size and change the paper. I think newsprint is the ideal substrate for snake cages and superior to many other substances ,such as gravel, wood shavings etc.

For the price you cannot beat this stuff. The only word of caution is that the tone of it is not as bright as in the image. This stuff is versatile, and is great for the student who just wants to practise. It is alot cheaper than drawing pads.
