My 90's Mongoose cross fit bike has a built into the top of the seat tube on the frame, the collar for the tension bolt. This clamp includes that part. My bad, should have noticed this. Gave it 5 stars because i had to choose, but did not use it.

Be careful to order exactly the right size. I got lucky. My old one was the cheaper design where you use a hex driver to tighten the seat post. This is much easier. I think it will last for many years to come. That being said, I now know that my local bike shop has the same type of fitting for the same price. I wasn't thinking of him when I ordered this part online.
