My Smart car has 66k miles on it.I bought it from someone in SLC Utah...so there was rust on the top nut.Ended up using a small propane torch to heat up the nut.Hooked a ratchet strap to the opposite lower a-arm,and then ran it through the middle hole on the a-arm side of the car that I was working on...hooked it onto the strut to help pull it back into the spindle.With some wd-40 then it worked out very well to slide into place
