Too hard to find the plush.. and pretty useless house once you find the plush. I love everything bluey for my kids but this was a dud.

I love that I get to review a Bluey item. Bluey is life in our house. We have collected many of the plushies, so having the opportunity to get an exclusive plushy that they don't sell by itself was irresistible. This set comes with either a Bluey in the Zebra onesie or a Bluey in the Queen outfit. Previously, the Queen outfit was only available on Bingo, so this one is special. The quality of the toy is very good. Moose toys makes high quality toys with a lovely pastel coloring. My 5 year old son immediately recognized the play house as "Bluey's house" so well done making it look right.It pains me, but I cannot give this toy 5 stars. Though the quality is amazing, the execution of the surprise is difficult to figure out. First, when you open the door to the house, there is a package to open. Inside the package was a sticker sheet at a plastic plaque that goes over the door. When I opened the packages, it was so empty that I thought that the plushy was missing. It's a box big enough for a plushy, so it was honestly a bit of a let down to open it and only find two small items that didn't fill the box.I had to read the instructions to figure out how to activate the toy surprise. To save you the trouble, this is how it works. There is a "key" in the back with a number 1 on it where the instructions are attached. Pull that key out, it locks the mechanism that opens the compartment with the plushy. Next, close the front door and insert the plaque from the gift box into the hole in the front roof area. When you push the plaque with the door closed the slot of the top springs open to reveal the plushy surprise. It's very smartly presented, I just wish it were easier to reveal.The Bluey house opens up to a play set, which is a nice touch. A lot of times with these surprise type toys, the gimmick part is really just a throw away, but Moose Toys clearly thought about this and made their "box" something useful. Unfortunately, because the surprise is fairly difficult to figure out, I have to give this 4 stars. There are instructions included, but kids are not going to go through that. A savvy parent will sort it all out before presenting this toy to their child. Value-wise, if you can get it for around $20-$25 then it's worth it. The plushies generally run about $10 by themselves and this one comes with a play set.

I got this for my 3 year old for her birthday. I had seen other reviews about the confusing way to get the plush but if you follow the instructions it is very easy. I have to say the plush is cute and my kiddo loved it. The house is kind of useless after it is all said and done, she hasn't touched it since Feb. The stickers are cute and she stuck them immediately and that is done now as well. It comes with a little desk inside to play with but my kiddo is not interested. It was fun finding the plush but after that it just takes up space and collects dust.
