Easy install solo, didn't remove the cat-back, used a rachet strap to hold up the rear pipes and center resonator while cutting. Marked the pipes at all slip joints about 1.5" from the ends so I could make sure I had enough and equal engagement. Sounds great with the active exhaust and makes the sound difference between modes more pronounced. Normal mode with the Switchfire is about as loud as Sport was before, but the quality of the sound is improved. Deep rumble at low RPM and gets higher pitch with more RPM. This is all we needed to finish out a great sounding exhaust. Power may be increased, but we're still under 500 miles on the car and breaking it in, so we can't tell yet.

I was attracted to this Borla SwitchFire crossover "X-pipe" by its apparent reliance on proven exhaust practices. It's said installation will add three to five horsepower, with no other alterations. That's not very significant in a car with 460 horsepower (on a 2018 GT, according to Ford), but I'm a believer, so it's nice to know physics is doing a little extra work under there.Idle sound levels are perceptibly higher, as are wide-open throttle sounds, but not objectionably so. Maybe a little louder than I'd expected, but it's all pleasant enough noise that it's worth the transition, given the theoretical and—we hope—practical effects.
