This kit works great. Everything you need for the install. One review mentioned that the head did not mate with the new cylinder and they had to ream out the holes for the two side bolts to make the bolts work. This is because they had the wrong cylinder for that bike. I have several of the Lakotas. I use one for parts. It is very similar and looks identical. My original head seemed to have valve issues, so I used one off the parts bike. That's when I seen what the other reviewer was talking about. The two side bolts for the head to the cylinder where off. I then used the head that was on the bike, and it fit perfectly. Make sure you do your homework and get the proper cylinder for your year and make.Another review stated that it smoked worse after install. I suspect that it was like mine. Initially it smoked like it did before the install. Then as I ran it in, it eventually stopped and ran like new. My thought at first was valve problem till it stopped smoking. Then I realized that it was just burning all the oil that had been deposited in the exhaust system from the scored piston and damaged cylinder.Long story short. It works and is cheaper than an new bike. You just have to do a little wrench turning.

PROS:-Seemed to be well made; good finished surfaces.-Good quality seals.-Well packaged.CONS:-Didn't realize until after I had the cylinder setting on the block that one of the mounting holes through the cylinder head was blocked. Removed the cylinder and inspected both sides; the slotted hole for the mounting bolt still had material blocking passage. Their milling/finishing process did not go completely through on the slotted hole. Was able to "punch" the material (maybe 1/16" thick) out.-When mounting the cylinder head to the block I noticed the holes were skewed slightly around the front dowel; making the two smaller m6 bolts not align with the mounting holes in the block. This was also throwing the oil passage off slightly. The only way that I could get all the holes to line up correctly was by removing the rear dowel that aligns the cylinder head to the block. The seal/gasket mimicked the misalignment of the cylinder head as well. The head gasket did not have this misalignment.Overall:-Besides the mentioned issues above; I will try and use the head and see how long it lasts. Will update accordingly.
