We ordered this to place in our camper because it doesn't take long to make the interior of our cabover truck camper more death-dealing than the Bhopal disaster.Worse, the prime time for this to happen is when you're sleeping on a colder night and are running the camper's heater.Thankfully we haven't had to hear the alarms for real, but we're confident it'll keep us safe and protected from unseen but killer fumes.I'm adding one to my woodshop for winter months when I run a small propane heater in the shop. Better safe than sorry, and like a serious power tool (chop saw, table saw, etc), propane heaters should be treated just as carefully from a "safety first" sense.

Perfect for our cabin retreat. We use propane for cooking inside the cabin. Having a carbon monoxide and gas detector in one package is great. We used a solar generator to power the unit and had no issues. We will use this at home when we need to cook with a butane stove during one of our many power outages for our area.

It's difficult to assess the effectiveness of a tool that is meant for an emergency. Basically, you just have to hope that it will work if you need it. I have a backup so hopefully, at least one will work. This one isn't a brand name and has no expiration date on it like the other one I have or the ones I've had in the past. That gives me pause and does concern me a bit. It also doesn't plug right into the wall as all the other ones I've had do. Yes, it's clear from the listing, but somehow I didn't realize it until I received it.

The carbon monoxide detector is well made and lights right up when you plug it in. The one and only one drawback is does not simply plug into an outlet. You have to mount it on the included bracket. The drywall anchor and screw not included. A few minutes of light work. Not a big deal.

This carbon monoxide/ gas detector was straight forward to install and activate. I tested it with both a propane and butane sources and it alerted to each gas quickly. The alert sound was loud, and annoying enough to be a bother. The unit plugs into an electrical outlet so make sure one is available near the area you wish to protect.

No frills but works well. Quite sensitive to combustible gas, an unlit butane lighter quickly sounded the alarm. The alarm isn't as loud as some. The alarm reason is indicated by either stable or flashing light.Despite the pictures on the product page, this alarm does not have a "voice alarm", nor does it have screw terminals on the back for AC input. It does have alarm out terminals but the instructions are unclear on the output voltage.A mounting plate, screws and wall anchors are included. The screws however are super soft metal and quite useless. The heads stripped immediately.Draws 1.3W.

I just got this and it was plugged in for a couple hours then the fault light keeps coming on. Not sure why.
