I order this distributer anticipating at the price that the product would be functional but rough on the quality. I was mistaken, this product easily looks to have machine quality surpassing the 1985 OEM part from the vehicle. The fit and finish was great. The cap, rotor and module were all included and top notch. It even includes the post 1986 upgrades that GMC did from their new distributors. If one item was to be identified as lacking it would be the lack of lubrication on the distributor shaft. I personally prefer to see some light machine oil or thin grease of some sort on the shaft where the bearing contact to ensure long life and proper break in of the unit. Today I have approximately 5000 miles on the distributor in my 1985 Pontiac Fiero and my timing hits the mark 100% of the time with a max of 1 degree deflect total (.5 degrees +/-), which I can attribute to the 150K on the timing gears as opposed to the distributor.If you need this part, I strongly recommend going this direction, nothing here is cut rate.
