Both sides rubber boots came apart same way within 3 months during winter

I replaced this part in March of 2016 which was about 15,000 miles ago. It worked perfectly fine until, during an oil change, I noticed the boot was seriously torn. I am pretty disappointed that with the limited amount of mileage I have on this part that it failed. I don't offroad and I don't live on a dirt road. The mileage on this part was all highway commuter and not in any way severe. What's even more disappointing is I replaced the other side with this same brand about a year later, so I get to look forward to this job again in the near future.I'll be selecting a different brand for the replacement. This boot is supposed to be neoprene which is what sold me originally. Either the design of the boot is inferior or the neoprene itself is of low quality. Regardless, this very low cost piece of the part will require me to spend several hours replacing it with something else.
