This traditional Tele style bridge with compensating saddles is very well made.The chrome plating and brass saddles are of excellent quality. I'll be installing it on a body similar to the one in the photos but with a humbucking pickup in the bridge position.

This bridge is just the ticket. It does not hold the bridge pickup, as standard telecaster bridges do, but I’m building a lap steel, and this will offer reasonable tuning, with the differentiated bridge barrels, and allow me to place it without involving the pickup.

Two Tele trends that have gained popularity of late are cutoff bridges and compensated saddles. This Ovsal bridge gives you both. The heavy steel black-finished baseplate and brass saddles look very cool, and this bridge can be used for both top-loaded and strings-through-body projects. A heavy sheet of paper under the saddles protects the plate until you're ready for installation. Included are black mounting screws and an adjustment wrench, and everything is well-packed. A very reasonable price seals the deal. DIY enthusiasts should love this. I've generally been quite happy with these Ovsal guitar parts, and urge interested parties to check them out.

I got this to replace the lightweight, non-compensated short bridge on a budget guitar. This was a perfect fit for the vintage screw spacing, and this bridge has provision for both top and bottom loading. The compensated saddles work out well, it's never perfect with a 3-saddle bridge, but these saddles will get you much closer. The bridge plate has nice chrome plating, and is made of fairly heavy material, unlike many of the budget tele bridges that have a tendency to bend and warp. The screws for intonation adjustment are a bit on the long side, but you can just set the intonation and nip them off to a nice neat length. Overall, a very good bridge at a good price.
