I have used various KVM switch boxes over the years, some that were really cheap manual boxes to very expensive and high quality KVM’s. One product kept breaking the audio/mic ability and I had to keep getting replacements for the device. Another brand worked really well, but the company is lagging on the latest technology, like DataPort connections and dual monitor / dual computer KVM's. The CKL CKL-622DP model was easy to setup and pretty much hit the ground running, but I did have an issue that was not portrayed in the web site or manual, but was corrected by customer support. So, if you have any issues with setting up the KVM, I encourage you to contact their technical support staff.Several things I like about the box are it was built well, though putting all input ports in the back would be my preference, but that is not the norm. I also think the power supply could hold the USB cable in better as it is pretty lose and if in an area of traffic, could become easily unplugged. It has a power switch in the back that during troubleshooting was a blessing. My other KVM’s require I remove all connections and then put them all back in. Having a dual monitor / dual computer KVM Means I no longer have to change my monitor settings from one computer to another as I did with my single monitor, dual computer KVM. The product is easy to setup and easy to use manually and comes already setup for KVM control from the mouse. I also liked that I have 4 data ports to use and audio / video jacks for both computers to play through one set of speakers. One of the issues I came across is my keyboard display lights either stay on, no matter the selection or are not on at all, like my Caps lock light. I will contact tech support about that. One other thing I am tolerating and not used to is the delay time between switching. The aforementioned expensive KVM boasted of DDM technology which does make switching between computers almost instantaneous. But, you do pay for that convenience. So, if you don't mind waiting 10 seconds for screens to show up and the keyboard and mouse to work, it is a great KVM box and I recommend it.

Had TESSmart earlier and struggled to get two PCs working with Two monitors...absolute rubbish but then replaced with this one and it worked like a charm on first instance...zero trouble. You simply plug all the cables (everything is included in the box) and boom...everything works smoothly. I tried Mac and PC...all works well.

I needed a KVM to assist in working from home. I had tried a more expensive KVM but could not get it to hold the connections in a stable manner so I had to send it back. I searched for another device and found the CKL unit (which was half the price of the previous one). I unpacked it and was surprised how small it was. I connected everything to it and it worked first time and has remained working ever since. I can switch by keyboard, mouse, button or a wired remote. Picture quality is great and my wireless keyboard (KLIM) works with no problems.I am using a DVI-to-HDMI adaptor on my desktop and two Displayport-to-HDMI connectors on my laptop. I also had to get a (Sabrent) external USB sound adaptor for my laptop to connect sound and microphone (the laptop had no suitable ports). The only issue I have had is that, very occasionally, my wireless mouse (Microsoft) sometimes gets over exuberant with scrolling. I have found that if I turn the KVM off and back on again it fixes it (or unplug the mouse dongle and reinsert it).All-in-all a great little device and good value for money.

At home, I have had a multi monitor switch box in play for a LONG time. Started out with a 3 monitor DVI by StarTech, which could switch 3 monitors, keyboard, mouse, and sound across 4 different computers. I loved it for a long time, but then I made the mistake of plugging a powered device to the USB bus and lost the K part of the KVM.So then I added in a separate switch box just for USB switching. Worked well for a number of years. Then I ended up traveling to a different state and had to function there for about 6 weeks remotely. I had monitors there to use, but no extra KVM. In addition the monitors I had were only HDMI.So I decided to buy this little KVM, and boy was I pleased!Having the ability to switch a keyboard and mouse directly again was great. I also am generally switching between a PC and a Mac, so it was nice to know this was compatible on both sides. One item of guidance that the directions had that was ESPECIALLY useful was the idea that it would be better to use an HDMI to VGA or DVI adapter rather than getting specialty cables with HDMI on one end and the alternative connection on the other.I have a ton of those cables laying around because of my old KVM which was all DVI. When I tried one, I found the switch box didn't work so well. But when I used their original HDMI cables with one of those little DVI adapters at the monitor, it worked great.I also find their remote switcher to be very nice, because I have a sit/stand desk, and in order to use the original HDMI cables, they were only 6 feet, and my devices needed to be close to the box. So I mounted it under the desk in a box where the cable run gave me the ability to raise the desk to standing without affecting anything.Once I did this, the switching device was super handy to put just under the edge of the desk near my chair. Now that I am back home, I have ripped out the old DVI, and actually upgraded two of my monitors so that I could get rid of the old DVI connectors and go pure HDMI. The weight reduction alone on my desk was huge getting rid of those old heavy DVI cables. Now it is all nice, clean, and no heavy clunky connectors to deal with.

This is a great piece of kit. I have it set up with a Windows PC, a chromebook, and a Raspberry PI with dual displays. It works flawlessly. I would prefer to see the remote work wirelessly, but my mind can't see how that could work. This thing is pretty close to perfect

Made the mistake of not plugging in the device's power supply since it worked at setup, but it performed very oddly without it. There's a bit of lag when switching to my PC (as expected) that surprisingly isn't there when switching to my laptop which might be due to using a HDMI-USB C adaptor on my laptop.

Overall, this KVM switch seems to work great! There have been a couple small issues, but they have been easy to work out. I am using a ton of adapters, so that could be the source of some of the little quirks.I am using this KVM switch while working from home so that I can share my keyboard/mouse and dual monitors between my personal desktop computer, and my work laptop via a docking station. I chose the HDMI docking station for the compatibility it will have with future devices when I finally upgrade the ones I have.My personal desktop has dual DVI outs, so I needed two DVI to HDMI adapters for it. My laptop dock has one HDMI port and one DP port, so I needed a DP to HDMI port there. Both monitors have DVI ports, so I am using HDMI to DVI cables for them.To be honest, with all of the adapters, I was surprised it worked on the first try! As far as issues go, I occasionally have a monitor that wont wake up from power save mode, and there was one time that the keyboard and mouse stopped working for my desktop computer. The monitors are easy to wake up manually with the menu buttons, and the keyboard and mouse issue was resolved by power cycling the KVM (this issue has only happened once, and has not returned).I've never used a KVM switch that has worked absolutely 100% perfectly out of the box, so I figured there would be issues. However in this case, some of these issues could be due to using the unit with so many sub-optimal connections. The keyboard hotkeys work great, and I'm not detecting much input lag. I would have liked to see a higher quality (and longer) power cable. The supplied one appears to be a very generic USB phone charger that terminates to a standard looking round 5V connector. I should be able to easily replace it down the road, but it works for now.All in all, I'm impressed and would recommend!

Well, i was sure i reviewed this when I purchased it. This is effectively an update. I purchased this unit because of the pandemic. I started working from home and had to have similar setup to work. I also wanted to be able to switch to my personal PC without having to double everything. This switch is what I was looking for. My first impression when i received the switch is that is was nice and solid. The box is very well made, the switches and of good quality. I started setting this up and found that the instruction were not very good. With a little search on the WEB and youtube, I found additional information that help.I had one problem with the switch. The provided cables were not working very well. The USB connection quality was bad and, if you moved the wires, just a little, you would break connection to the keyboard and the HDMI.So I wrote to the manufacturer explaining my problem. To my surprise, they replied the next day. They said they would send my new cables and that I should received them in a few weeks (it does come from China). They actually showed me the package with the tracking number. Well the cables never arrived. I wrote them again. Again, they replied the next day, wow. I explained that I did not received the cables. They were really good and said they were shipping new cables again. This time, I received them in about a week. Verified the cable and now it works perfectly. The product quality is very good. It does everything I wanted. It also has an additional remove switch to make it simple for the user to switch back and forth between computer, really nice. The service response has been one of the real good one compared to many other places, they actually reply. Just that is very nice. So, the switch is good quality, works well, customer service is really good and they do what they say. What else do you want.Would i recommend this product, ABSOLUTELY. Just make sure you know what you are buying and what you are doing. Don't expect miracles. It does what it should do and does it well. We will see in a year from now if the product lastsHave fun
