It's basically exactly what it says: good quality tracing paper with a 1/4" grid so you can lay things out to scale over a background, without having to write on the background. Tracing paper is a good pencil drawing surface that erases easily so you can work on designs without having to destroy your drawing surface.

I tea dye and color with inks and paints papers to use for junk journals, collage, and mixed media. Who would have suspected that this is my favorite paper for this. Although sheer it is very string and can handle being soaked in water, tossed in the oven and then ironed. Somehow the little squares trap bits of mica powder to form mosaics of color. Lovely.

I have been using Clearprint Vellum Pads for 45 years of engineering work. Always excellent quality.Weather designing circuit boards, or conveying information to an architect, Clearprint quality was appreciated by me.You might find something cheaper, but you won't find anything better.
