I saw a review somebody had put on this pattern. Mine was on the way and she wrote that it was so confusing and difficult.. I was worried because I hadn’t got mine yet. I’m not an expert quilter, but I’ve been doing quilting for years and the pattern is wonderful. It’s plain and simple understanding. There’s no confusion it’s laid out. There’s pictures to explain. The block is simple. The measurements are explained easy to understand they couldn’t be any better than if the person who made the pattern was right there helping you.

I made up 40 blocks of this all from my stash. You're supposed to use 40 fat quarters and I used about 32 and supplemented with smaller chunks that allowed me to get even more variety in my quilt. Its not put together yet but ready to go on my design wall. I love all the colors together.

Although by no means an expert quilter, I am not a beginner either. I bought this pattern because even after watching many how-to videos, I still was wanting to learn more about making a quilt "on point" or diagonally. Although making the individual the quilt blocks are very easy, the instructions and diagrams for the construction of the entire quilt are very confusing. The construction method for an on point quilt typically calls for using setting corner and side triangles for the quilt edges. For this quilt you cut the pieced blocks themselves in half along the edges to form a rectangle. I was so disappointed at all of the waste of discarding almost half of the completed blocks. I decided to use these to supplement the backing length. Quilt turned out very cute even with my struggles.
