This adapter is well built and has a very clean design. It worked as expected when plugged in to PCIe slot with my Samsung NVMe. The magnets on the board are a nice touch to help more easily mount it.The downside is the cable is short. So it limits where you can place it and how you can place it, if at all.But it's a good way to add NVMe to outdated motherboards or to even add additional NVMe storage.

With GPUs being larger today, even low and mid tier are getting oversized coolers, my bottom PCIe slots were basically blocked off. With the older build this went in there was only one M.2 slot on the motherboard and I really don't want to purchase a hdd in 2024 even if it is a solid state. This install could not be easier and unlick some M.2 drives it came with 4 screws. I plugged the m.2 into the riser card and then the riser into the motherboard. The pleasant surprise was when it snaped to the case bottom and held in place. The computer picked it up and has been running fine. With limited expansion options left to me this was a great find for a tight spot.
