It is used for monitoring temperature in foods, liquids and other materials. It has a response time of 2 seconds in liquid for fast readings. I work in the Restuarant Industry. We time and temp product daily. We have had several thermometers of this type go down. This is so far been the fix every time. A new Probe and cord. Spend way less then buying a new one!
