I bought the “14 Mil 10'x10', Heavy Duty Vapor Barrier Plastic, Thick Plastic Sheeting, Black and White Panda Film” for an ‘outdoor’ bathroom project, off of our barn.This Vapor Barrier is very heavy-duty! It came nicely folded & wrapped, in its cardboard package, and it straightened out when laid on the ground—with minimal fold lines. It’s black on one side & white on the other. This was just what we needed, and it worked out beautifully. I can tell this stuff is built to last! I’m incredibly pleased with this product, and I would buy it again.

I ordered the 14 mil vapor barrier, but what I received was clearly 12 mil. I measured it myself and the difference was obvious — thinner and far less durable than advertised. What’s worse is that now the correct 14 mil version is priced higher than what I originally paid, so I feel completely shortchanged. I bought this specifically for a heavy-duty crawl space project, and now I’m stuck with a lower-grade product that I didn’t agree to. This kind of bait-and-switch is unacceptable. If you’re looking for reliable quality and transparency, look elsewhere. Very disappointed.

I expected a lot from this vapor barrier considering the price and the claims of being heavy - duty and tear - resistant. But boy, was I wrong. While trying to fit it around some pipes in my crawl space, the plastic sheeting ripped like paper. The 14 - mil thickness didn't offer any real protection against minor obstacles. It's frustrating to have a product that fails so miserably in the most basic aspect of its functionality. I would not recommend this to anyone.

This will hold up longer and stand up to more abuse, and form a more reliable moisture barrier.It can help prevent wood rot, dampness, mold, odors, and condensation underneath houses and other structures. It helps in creating a drier, healthier, more mold-free environment.The larger sizes are a better value per square foot.

The Crawl Space Vapor Barrier, 14 Mil 10'x10', Heavy Duty Vapor Barrier Plastic, Thick Plastic Sheeting, Black and White Panda Film, Drop Cloth Vapor Barrier Covering for Crawlspace Encapsulation was obtained for not quite that purpose. I obtained this as I am digging a french drain next to my basement wall to hopefully let the heavy rains, when they come, flow out and away from the basement. This is put into the hole then the drain pipe is placed in it (imagine a taco from the side view). The heavy rains start again this weekend so we will see if my design works as intended. This vapor barrier is basically like a thick plastic that you would put in your crawl space or basement to keep the moisture out.

Exactly what I needed to keep moisture from the bottom of the new shed I'm building.Picked up one of the 12MIL and one of the 14MIL as I needed 10x20 coverage, so two 10x10 should be perfect!The only thing I didn't like was that the cut end is not straight as you can see in the pics... but both the 12MIL and 14MIL seem thick and durable. The texture of each side is slightly different, with the white for face up and black face down... its fairly easy to install and should be much more durable and functional than a weed barrier.Definitely a great value and perfect size!!!

recently used this heavy-duty 14 mil vapor barrier for a crawl space encapsulation project, and I couldn't be more impressed. The material is extremely thick, strong, and durable — you can tell it’s built to last the moment you unroll it. The 10x10 size was perfect for my needs, and the full 100 square feet coverage gave me excellent value.The double-sided Panda Film is a brilliant design — the black side blocks out light and moisture effectively, while the white side reflects light beautifully, keeping the space brighter and easier to inspect. It’s also very easy to wipe clean, which is a huge plus.What really stood out to me is the long service life and tear resistance. I’ve worked with other barriers in the past that rip easily, but this one holds up incredibly well, even when handled in tight spaces with rough surfaces.
